About this item

  • 🕷️ Crystal Clear Enclosure for Jumping Spiders: Our spider enclosure is crafted from sturdy 0.1-inch (2.7mm) acrylic material, ensuring durability that lasts. Say goodbye to yellowing or deformation even after prolonged use. With its high-definition clarity, this terrarium offers a clear view of your beloved jumping spider.
  • 🦂 Optimal Air Circulation: Our spider acrylic enclosure terrarium features strategically placed ventilation holes on both sides, facilitating superior air circulation within the enclosure. Each hole, with a diameter of 0.2mm, effectively prevents the escape of tiny insects, ensuring a secure environment for your pet.
  • 🐌 Versatile Application: Designed for both terrestrial and arboreal species, our acrylic terrarium caters to a diverse range of small reptiles, amphibians, spiders, and invertebrates. From insects and fish to tarantulas and hermit crabs, this enclosure is perfect for housing a variety of pets including iguanas, tortoises, leopard geckos, frogs, and bearded dragons.
  • 🐜 Effortless Assembly: Setting up your spider's new home is a breeze. Simply peel off the protective film from the acrylic, consult the included instructions for assembly guidance, and secure the enclosure with silicone rings. With dimensions measuring 6x8x14 inches, it's the ideal size for your tarantula to thrive.
  • 🐛 Additional Note: If you plan to convert the enclosure into a desert tank or rainforest habitat, we recommend applying a sealing waterproof adhesive (not included) to prevent leaks and ensure the best user experience.

I bought this to upgrade my tarantulas habitat as she has grown a lot. This worked out perfectly, except the locks on the top didn’t line up correctly and one broke the first time I tried to lock it.

This definitely would benefit from instructions for people who haven't used this type of enclosure before. Although it is certainly figure-out-able. Worth nothing that the pieces come with a protective plastic film on both sides that you need to peel off. I broke the latch - and I am not someone who usually breaks things! Luckly I only plan to use this for jewel orchids, so the broken latch doesn't matter. Be aware though - the latch is a little fragile.

I'd gotten a similar one of these last summer when I found a small jumping spider outside, so I've been keeping an eye out for more of these to get ready for this coming summer when I hopefully find more spideys. The only downside to this style where the door/wall opens from the top is that if the spider makes a web in the top corner where the door opens, you're going to have to ruin the web each time you open the door. The other enclosure I had was the same way, but I was able to fix the issue a bit by cutting a thin strip of plexiglass and using clear packing tape to tape it along the top of the door's frame (I'll try to post pictures of this). That made it so that my spider could spin her web in the top corner but I could still open the door without destroying it.So it would be nice if these already came with something like that, like if the door opened about an inch lower than the top of the box, but if you've got some plexiglass or something similar, it's a pretty easy fix on your own.I'm excited to get this one set up for the summer. I'd love to make it bioactive, so that gives me some time between now and summer to get that cycling properly. As another reviewer mentioned, this is pretty much only good for jumping spiders, though, size-wise, because even this 8x8x14 would be too small for many other spiders, let alone larger reptiles, amphibians, etc.I'll attach pictures of the instructions that came with the one I got last summer, as they're basically the same.(Pardon the pictures of the older one, I haven't cleaned it out yet.)

I got my sister a jumping spider about a year ago and she only had a small hamster cage to keep her in and it seemed fine for a little while but I noticed that she would always hang out in one corner and would hardly move. I knew I wanted to get her a new enclosure so when I saw this I knew I had to get it for her. When I received the enclosure and opened it up I was surprised to find that there weren't any instructions included on how to put the thing together, even though the listing explicitly states that it includes instructions. I ended up going to the listing and looking at the pictures on there to put it together which was easy enough. After a few minutes of studying the pictures I was able to put the enclosure together fairly easily without any trouble. The protective film on the acrylic pieces was a little annoying to remove because there weren't any pull tabs or anything like that. I had to just keep rubbing at the corners until the film would start to lift up enough for me to grab it and pull it off. The little silicone rings that hold everything together went on very easily and seem like they will hold it together very well. I got some natural accessories to fill the enclosure with and hopefully make her more comfortable. So far she seems to be mostly hanging out in the same corner as she did in the other enclosure, but hopefully she will get more comfortable moving around in this enclosure as it is more appropriately sized for her than the hamster enclosure. If it weren't for the missing instructions and having to figure out how to put it together this would have easily been a 5 star product.

Easy to put together since I have done these before, but some may have difficulty as there is no instructions included. Just lay it out on the floor, it's easy to figure out. if you put one side on the opposite way (the ones with the holes) then it's easy to take off the small rubber bands, and reapply. If you snap one or they get old overtime there are included extras, but I doubt I'll need them. Here are some photos to help you decide. I like the large capacity over smaller ones.Great for little creatures or on it's side for moss growing or mini terrarium.Note : There is a plastic film on each side of all pieces, so you need to take that off unless you want it opaque. I like the crisp look without as it glows under the light. but take your time and catch an edge with a nail or credit card, scissor end should be good.I like these types without magnets like this one, it has a small latch curved system that is quite nice for me and feels safely locked.Note: I feel this is way to small for a tarantula, perhaps to carry it from the store to your house, or for temporary housing. It's more for jumping spiders, small creatures and terrarium like applications personally. It's too small for such creatures, but cricket sized ok.Item ordered:Acrylic Tarantula Enclosure, Micro Habitat Terrarium for Arboreal & Terrestrial Reptiles, Spiders and Invertebrates, Small Acrylic Reptile Enclosure for Jumping Spiders, Amphibians (4 * 4 * 8 inch)Acrylic Tarantula Enclosure, Micro Habitat Terrarium for Arboreal & Terrestrial Reptiles, Spiders and Invertebrates, Small Acrylic Reptile Enclosure for Jumping Spiders, Amphibians (4 * 4 * 8 inch) 11/30/2024
