While very popular this heat sink/fan didn’t provide enough cooling for my Raspberry Pi 5. The Pi would continuously shut itself down when the cpu core temp reaches around 58 degrees Celsius. I replaced it with a heat pipe type and it ran just fine. Also, this not solid copper just copper-coated brass.

The heat dissipating pads are not pre-attached, and you need to mess up with them, plus they put them in DIFFERENT locations than official cooler.It's LESS EFFECTIVE (compare 5x8=40 pins vs 6x9=45 pins) -- the number of heat-dissipating pins can affect the cooler’s performance. More pins usually mean more surface area for heat dissipation, which can lead to better cooling performance. However, the overall performance also depends on other factors such as the quality of the materials used, the design of the cooler, and the efficiency of the fan.Overall, makes sense to buy if your shipment is free, because all official suppliers charges you $12-15 just for shipment on top of the item price.In conclusion, while the Wonrabai Active Cooler has some promising features, it’s important to consider these factors and your specific needs before deciding if it’s the right cooling solution for your Raspberry Pi 5.
