Very pleased with the quality.. I have purchased several of the ACT cutters…. If you want them to last…. Use coolant generously! Definitely last longer than the name brands you purchase at the welding supply…. 16 holes thru 1” plate… last one as quick as the first one

For the price paid I feel it was money well worth spent. This annular drill made it through a production run of drilling 16 holes through 2" inch thick armor plate steel before it wore out into only being usable for cutting soft nonferrous materials.I usually shy away from cutting tools made in China having learned the hard way that buying cutting tools from China is a crap shoot at best, but these units were easily available through Amazon and the shipping time/cost per unit met our production timetable (last minute on the fly as usual) for the project it was applied to.Long story short, we got our money's worth out of it and will purchase this brand again without hesitation.One point that needs to be made though is that this unit needs to be firmly chucked to the weldon shank adapter all the way up to the back face of the annular cutter body before tightening if a pilot drill is not used.
