My husband is putting this to good use. He uses this Stand to recite devotional text upon rising. It is closeby and provides the right (adjustable) height for reading. It was easy to put together and the color and texture are comfortable. If someone wants to sit and read, this can be adjusted for many differing heights. Very satisfied with our purchase.

Very sturdy, well built. Also very adaptable, moves in enough ways to get height and angle just the way you want it. Very nice looking as well.

This stand has 3 metal sections that allow you to make the base height as high as 6 feet, plus the top can telescope further. The base is super solid with thick EVA foam on the bottom to keep it from sliding. And the actual platform is solid wood with some included metal page holders. The bracket on the back of the platform is plastic, which is probably the only real point of future failure for this device. If not for that one plastic component I would consider this a premium product. However, there were a few misses. The packaging for this is just way too thin. There needed to be more foam inside the package. When mine arrived, several of the components had fallen out of place. There is no harm done as nothing was broken. But not only is the foam too thin in spots, there needed to be a nice thick piece of foam for the top above the platform.Assembly is pretty simple, even without using the included instructions. That plastic hinge does somewhat limit the product a little bit. But you can still kind of turn the platform any way you want to. There are 2 thumbscrews so that you can tighten the hinge once you get the vertical and horizontal position you want.CONCLUSIONThis is a good product. I wish the packaging was more robust, and I wish that a different kind of hinge was used for the platform. But I would definitely get more of these. For displaying an heirloom, for use with sheet music, for general reading or as a lectern, this stand can check all the boxes and do so at a relatively high level of quality and stability.

For years, I've been looking for a portable bookstand/lecture to use when I officiate weddings. Until I found this one, they were too big, or too expensive, or not white (which is what I needed. This one is perfect! It assembles and disassemble easily without tools. The base is strong and sturdy, so it sits on grass nicely for outdoor weddings. The size is just right to fit between the couple getting married and myself and Brenda in well for pictures. My one complaint is that the place where I place the binder I use for the script doesn't hold it's position if I place my hands on the edges during the ceremony. It tightens with a plastic knob. I'm afraid if I tighten it too tight, the knob might twist off entirely. I'm sure I will find away to fix that problem. I'm going to try using Crazy Glue.

I use it to sit on the sofa and put my laptop on it. Moves around. Happy with it.
