This latch has square hole for the lock shaft. Works great and easy installation.

It took a few days to arrive, cost about half the amount of a full door handle, fit perfectly for standard adjustable 2 3/8 and 2 3/4, and took 2 min to install. Very happy with this purchase.

I had a door lock that was damaged. The internal mechanism was damaged. This replacement bolt was the answer. Just uninstall the old one and install this new one. It took me all of 5 minutes and I was done, and now it works like it did when it was new.
