While I initially thought this would be a smart purchase because of the ability to adjust the length...I couldn't have been more wrong. It failed on the very first use! The nylon webbing is so thin, it started to fray and rip at the holes. The elastic pieces attached to the buckles were so poorly sewn to the webbing, one side broke as soon as the horse started to jog. This could have ended in a serious accident had the rider not immediately noticed the problem. The made in China label pretty much says it all!

Girth bunches up when you use the adjusting strap. It's a bit of a pain. I would not recommend it. In fact, I had the adjustable strap removed and had it made into a nonadjustable girth.

Good concept, but there are several issues with the design. 1. There needs to be a keeper strap across the girth in the middle where the buckle sits, as the buckle sometimes slips off the neoprene directly onto the horse's sensitive sternum area. NOT GOOD. 2. Some type of velcro or something to keep the neoprene "stuck" to the off-side of the buckles, to avoid the neoprene slipping that makes girthing up a real chore...must continually go to the off side to make sure there are no folds or wrinkles. 3. Constant need to check for slippage/wrinkling/folding of the neoprene all along the girth.It wouldn't take much to make this a GREAT product, but needs work to recommend. I used this six times and got rid of it.

This is a well constructed girth and my horse was comfortable. However, the billets on my saddle could not even begin to reach the buckles on this girth. Consequently, I ended up getting girth extenders and it was rather frustrating for my horse and myself finding a comfortable and secure fit. I ended up buying a different girth and passing this one onto a friend.

Its invonvient to use. And they nylon seems thin. Im sure it will hold. I just dont know how comforable it is

I got this for a beginning rider and I believe she likes it. I have not ridden the horse with her bit so have not tried it myself, but as said, I believe she loves it.
