My husband and I are getting older and opening jars is not as easy as it used to be. So I hunted for something not too expensive to help us. This works pretty good. Getting it seated can be a bit of a challenge depending on the jar, but once it is, it works as advertised. And the price was good.

While not as crazy techy as the robot jar opener, this one is pure analog goodness. Probably could have many other uses, like a quirky cheap last-minute gift!

I like that it opens the larger lids, but I don’t like that’s very hard to open small lids.

Even if free the Adjustable Multifunctional Stainless Steel Can Opener is a bad purchase. I wished it would work; it seems to be a good idea. The "jaws" that clamp to the lid are not big enough (height wise) to securely clamp most lids. The locking mechanism (vice lever) is too flimsy to stay in position. Also, the adjustment to accommodate different jar size warbles and is hard to adjust. Two hands are still needed, one to hold the jar while the other turns the opener.

Even the most "stuck" lids come off like magic. Little to zero effort once the grip is locked on.

The teeth are not well defined so it doesn't grip lid well. Needs improving.

The jar opener is smaller than I had hoped, compromising the leverage you can attain. Works great on olive and roast pepper 4 ounce jars, not much help on bigger pickle jar. Overall, okay for the price.
