I got this as a replacement for the original BRP backrest which had a tear in it due to unforeseen circumstances. The material of this backrest is good, feels nice and should work great on my Spyder RT Limited. The only con regarding this backrest that I can see is it is not near as tall as the BRP original backrest. I believe for the money, it is a great buy compared to the BRP, I just believe it won’t give me as much back support like the BRP did. I’m 6’1” so the taller BRP worked great for me. If you are not needing that much back support or are shorter than me, it will work great.

With cooler temperatures fast approaching here in the Dakotas, I'm likely not going to install this backrest until next Spring. For this review, I'm only commenting on the design, material, and customer support (instructions/support provided). If I find the actual install differs from what I describe here (whether better or worse), I'll come back and add to this review.The material used in this backrest is really good. At this price point, it was a nice surprise. I don't see any issue with the powder coated steel nor the synthetic leather used in the seat (5 stars here). Material wise, it's really similar to BRP's own backrest. Design wise it isn't too bad but the seat once installed is not easily removable . This might be good to help prevent theft but I'm not liking the idea that certain passengers or cargo bag configurations in the passenger seat may not work with a permanently mounted seat (4 stars).I've installed the "official" BRP backrest on my wife's 2022 Spyder RTL which requires less work than this TQROBN Spyder Backrest for my 2017 Spyder RTL. Per the instructions provided, this TQROBN backrest will require more work in that it requires a full seat removal as well as drilling holes into the base of the seat for the bottom mounting bracket. The provided paper instructions is easy to view and written in clear english. However, I wish a how-to video was provided by the seller which would be more clear than the paper instructions (4 stars). I eventually found a couple videos on YouTube for similarly designed seats that should be helpful when I actually do the install.Finally, as far as customer support for this product...I couldn't find any contact information included with the product (3 stars). The seller might be reachable via Amazon but I'm unclear who I go for technical support. I'm bringing this up in that for those that want a lot more hand-holding when it comes to installing this product...the support may or may not be there.Overall though this is a good alternative to the more expensive "official" backrests out there and I'm not anticipating any real issues (although drilling into my OEM seat will make me nervous).
