My lint trap has had a small hole in it for years, which has added to the build up of lint that needs to be cleaned out of my dryerWhen I saw this, I figured it was time to replace. At first it didn't seem to fit. But after cleaning out the lint, I was able to get it into place. I have to push an extra push at the end to get it fully seated, but it isn't hard to do.It's cheaper than the manufacturer part and we are talking mesh and plastic. It shouldn't be expensive.But the mesh on this isn't as thick and sturdy as the original part. And the mesh doesn't seem to be stretched as taut as original. So far, however, it hasn't affected the performance. But I am trying to baby the mesh,a fair amount.Time will tell if it will hold up. If this were stretched correctly, I would give it 5 stars. But I can't because they had one job: stretch some mesh across a plastic frame. Shouldn't be that hard.Overall, though, it's better than paying the price for manufacturer part. And better than a screen with a hole in it.

When looking to find a replacement for my LG dryer, going through all of the model numbers for every filter that looked like my filter, none of them had the same model number exactly but this one had the most that were similar and so I rolled the dice and ordered it hoping it was a match. It was and it is so good to finally have a new filter after over a year of struggling with the old one where the piping was frayed and wouldn't allow the filter to sit flush anymore. When running the dryer, articles of clothing would wrap around the part of the filter that wouldn't sit flush, and they would twist into a knot. It was such a pleasure drying clothes today and not having something twisted into a knot after a long time of putting up with that annoyance with the old filter. Thank you for providing me with a functional and well-fitting filter for my LG model dryer as it turns out my model was only made for a short period of time before being updated to a new model number and there aren't any aftermarket parts available for it directly. Instead, they are cross referenced for repair shops to other models I found out later from an LG repairman that I know.
