We adopted some of the best elements of cotton air filters into a new generation synthetic Dryflow Air filter. The three-dimensional filtering medium uses both depth loading and structural screen wire to enhance airflow capabilities and make the filter incredibly easy to clean. The result is a true performance air filter that does not require oiling..

I have bought about 3,4 dryflow filter from AEM now and I can say it is absolutely worth it. I really liked K&N but the oil soaked filters suck up to many bits of oil that coat the mass air flow sensor and leave droplets of oil in the intake. BUY THE AEM DRYFLOW!! It says to clean them every 50k miles but I clean mine once’s a year to be on the safe side. They make special cleaner you can buy or just spray it down with simple green, hose it out until the soap is gone, let it dry, and put it back on. These last forever and are less restrictive than the stock paper filters.

You're probably looking at these filters to get better sound (and performance probably) from your engine bay. The debate between CAI vs OEM is ultimately up to you. Just keep in mind that you're removing OEM parts that are suppose to keep dust/water/debris from entering your intake. So do yourself a favour and invest in a quality air filter at least. There is a difference between these AEM/K&N vs $25 ones you will find here. Adding a waterproof sock doesn't hurt either. I purchased a filterwear rather than the aem verson to give that company a chance. Overall satisfied with both products.

Bought this for a 2002 MR2 Spyder, old filter on the existing AEM intake system was trashed. Should measure about 5 inches in length and around 4 inches in diameter. The diameter for the intake pipe was 2.5 inches

I bought this for my wife's 2002 Honda Civic Si. The previous owner had installed an AEM Cold Air Intake system. The original filter was quite old and cracked and I preferred to replace it than clean it. After researching the different CAI systems that AEM has for this specific Civic Si, I bought this replacement filter. It fits...barely. I swear it's a little larger than the old one but works fine.AEM makes quality filters and I would recommend them to anyone.

Filter came quick. Is actually better quality than the original aem filter that came with my cold air intake.

My MR2 Spyder has an aftermarket AEM intake installed by the previous owner and this is just what I needed. Replacing the filter was a little tricky in the Spyder due to the design of the intake and the cramped engine compartment. After looking on-line, I removed the left rear wheel and jacked up the car. I then removed three bolts so that I could loosen the plastic fender liner. I also removed the left taillight (two bolts and one electrical connector) so that I could reach in and guide the filter as well as loosen/tighten the hose clamp. It took maybe an hour to get everything done and cleaned up, but everything looks and is running great now. Some others have mentioned that the entire change can be done with just removing the taillight or just removing the fender liner, but I found that it is easier to do both - much easier than removing the entire rear bumper cover as some have suggested.

Misleading information or wrong product? I remember looking at AEM filters a few years back and they were grey elements. I figured maybe they just changed up their style so I went ahead and bought it anyway. This filter has AEM molded on the end cap, but has a K&N logo on the seam, and it came pretty thoroughly drenched in oil residue. AFAIK, this is not a "Dry" filter but a rebranded, slapped-together abortion of a product that was once good.
