Subtle but noticeable difference in low rpm off boost torque. Also slightly reduces turbo spool time on my Volkswagen CC.

Did not expect anything, however, was pleantly surprised by the increased performance.

Great fitment for golf mk6 cabriolet. The thickness of this filter is much thinner than OEM, which probably makes it less restrictive. Could feel a slight improvement in low-end acceleration. Definitely not meant for louder sounds if that’s what you’re after. Unfortunately the AEM sticker that came with it was crumpled, and the adhesive wasn’t sticky. Small details does matter :(

***UPDATE 11/11/2022***Do not use any high performance air filters, cold air intakes, etc. on a Volkswagen TDI that still has its Diesel Particulate Filter. The filter will interfere with the DPF regen cycle leading to many attempted DPF regenerations that do not complete. This will kill your DPF much quicker. The TDI’s use intake airflow in their DPF regen cycle calculations and high flow filters mess with the measurements.Ask me how I know… 😐I won’t fault the filter for my vehicle requiring an OEM filter to function properly. I see no issues using this filter on a gasoline Jetta.********* ********* *********Original Review:Amazon says it doesn’t fit my 2013 Jetta TDI. Amazon is wrong. The AEM 28-20865 is much shorter than the OEM filter and doesn’t have the stupid cold weather snow screen on the bottom like the OEM. There is a noticeable increase to throttle response and overall performance compared to the restrictive OEM filter. The first tank on the new filter was refilled at 521.3 miles with 13.598 gallons for 38.34 mpg. The second tank was refilled at a personal best distance of 564.3 miles, with 13.853 gallons for 40.73 mpg. All miles were commuting to and from work.I have no reservation recommending this filter over the OEM.

Replaced OE filter on 2020 VW Passat. Definitely provides much improved throttle response. OE filter is more restrictive.

I was thinking about K&N air filter at first, but after searching online and read the reviews, I became interested in this brand since it does not use oil and is less expensive. After installed in my 2018 VW passat for a few days, I realized the performance was not as good as OEM filter at all. I did not feel any power difference, but the gas millage dropped at least 2-3 miles/gallon. I thought its design different from OEM filter should improve efficiency, but not the case. Probably only "reusable" is the advantage.

Very good quality, it says it doesn’t fit a 2013 TDI but it is actually a perfect fit.

After reading some review online and buying one for myself, can say that there is nothing but positive things to say about this filter. It’s easy to clean, maintain and install. I clean it every oil change on my car as well as inspections for damages and I’m happy to report the it’s holding up great.

Installation was a bit hassle but that was on me. Get correct tools before doing it yourself. Anyways, I don't feel any much difference from the OEM air filter with the AEM air filter. I can only say I feel a little bit more response when pressing the gas pedal. I believe it's a great price for what the company is selling.

Once you remove the snowtrap inside the OEM air box (which I felt was not needed in SoCal anyways), this filter will give you a deeper engine roar, turbo spool and DV intake noises.Did not keep if for long as I was given a Neuspeed P-Flo intake kit instead, but in retrospect I doubt there is real world difference between the two outside of the P-Flo being notably noisier. For the record, I got a DryFlow cone filter for my P-Flo too, as I did not want to deal with the oiled (and really old) filter it came with.Would purchase again if I had to return to the OEM airbox.
