Inspired by heavy duty industrial and military applications around the world, AEV’s Snorkel Kit for the JL Wrangler and Gladiator

AEV Snorkel systems are used extensively, both in controlled environments and under real-world conditions, where strength and durability can be evaluated. AEV manufactures these Snorkel systems out of an OE quality, UV-stable cross-linked polyethylene which offers durability and performance and is used in extreme hot/cold temperatures to ensure thermal stability. The AEV Snorkel installs directly into the factory airbox with no additional under-hood modifications. A template for cutting the hood and an application-specific trim bezel is included for a finished, professional looking appearance.

The JL/Gladiator Snorkel was designed with two unique mounting configurations in mind. AEV recommends installing the Snorkel using the standard mounting bracket that is included with this kit. This mounting configuration will be the strongest and most durable option for off-road use. However, an optional A-Pillar Mount is also available for customers who wish to retain the ability to fold down the windshield on their Wrangler or Gladiator. Instead of mounting to the windshield frame, this bracket mounts to your A-Pillar, leaving the windshield free to move up an down.

Please note: This Snorkel System is also compatible with 4XE models but NOT compatible with 3.0L Diesel & 392 Hemi JL/Gladiator models or Mojave Gladiator (gas or diesel).

How do I know if I have the “high” fender flares on my Wrangler?

In North America, Rubicon models came with a “high” fender flare option that allows for more tire clearance. Visually they look similar to the ones for on other models however, these fender flares sit about an inch higher and an inch wider than the standard fender flares found on Sport and Sahara models. Export models may vary depending on the country they were built for.

  • It will work on 3.6L, 2.0L, and export diesel (2.2L CRD). This will NOT work on the 3.0L Ecodiesel, 392 HEMI or Gladiator Mojave Models

  • The 3.0L Ecodiesel models have the air box on the opposite side of the vehicle. The Mojave Gladiator & 392 HEMI uses a unique hood.

  • That’s the popular perception, but snorkels actually do much more. In dry or dusty areas.

  • The Air-Ram is designed so that incoming rain will hit the back wall of the Ram and then get channeled into carefully designed drains.
