This differential cover is constructed out of durable die-cast A380 aluminum with reinforced ribs and wrinkle black powder-coating with machined fins for maximum strength and styling. This cover comes with all necessary hardware and includes an O-ring for a leak-free seal. This cover fits the 12 bolt-9.75" rear differential. 5 quart lube capacity: This cover has about a 5 quart lube capacity at the factory line, factory cover holds about 4 quarts. Built-in Internal/external Fins: Built-in internal and external fins transfer heat from the fluid to the outside air for maximum cooling. Magnetic drain/fill plug: This system incorporates a large magnetic drain and fill plug that captures loose particles for maximum rear-end protection. Oil Level Sight Glass: Pre-installed large oil level sight glass with calibration plug set to the factory fluid level to eliminate overfilling. Note: This differential cover fits 97-15 Ford Trucks with the 12 bolt-9.75" differential. Modifications may be required on 2010 and earlier vehicles. My diff cover is a few years old. It has now started to leak at the oring seal. I contacted AFE to obtain a replacement oring. Bad news, they no longer have or produce orings for these covers. AFE advised me to just use RTV sealant. I liked this cover because it had the nice oring seal and was not a huge mess with sealant. FYI the oil inspection window does not last long before it discolors from heat and becomes cloudy to the point that you cannot see the oil level anymore (cheap plastic). Also this cover almost hits my borla dual exhaust by just 1/4 inch so be cautious. I initially liked the design, but for $300 it has some long term issues.

Item arivved as expected. Set glass wasn't ship with part, but they where more than accommodating. Install went with out a hitch. Overall VERY pleased. Would highly recommend.

This cover is really nice. It went on my 2016 F150 4x4 rear differential. It took me about an hour from start to finish to install it. This was an "open box" sale item from Amazon. All parts were there and was never used. It didn't hold 4 quarts of gear oil, but pretty close. Looks good and the sight glass can be seen from the R/Side wheel well.. Great quality overall and looks great !

I really like these covers, came with all hardware needed, 12 allen set bolts w/ stainless washers, long magnetic drain plug and a lg sight window to boot. I went back on dry with no leaks. looks good and 2 extra quart capacity to help it stay cooler longer. cover is finned inside and out and a good baked on finish so she'll look good for a long time. the only downside I see is the price, it is a tad on the spendy side, but money well spent I believe. Amsoil high gear oil; and 2 lil bottles of Ford friction modifier, (important note) DO NOT SPILL OR GET ANY OF THAT MODIFIER STUFF ON YOU OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANNA KEEP, IT'S THAT BAD.... RAGS SHIRTS ETC.. ALL TO THE TRASH.

I'm running this on my 2012 Ford Raptor. I had my shop paint the cover using Ford Race Red to match the accents on my truck. After painting it, they knocked down the paint on the fins to match the look of the original. This holds two more quarts of oil than stock. The site window is more helpful than I thought. I recently had an axle seal start leaking, and I was able to check the oil level before driving it to the shop for repair.The magnetic dip stick is nice too. It collects any metal shavings.Not the product's fault, but Amazon says this part does not fit my truck. I had to use other sources to confirm.
