For a 3-4 years old boy is totally worthless. It just emits noise. Not recommended! Also Too expensive

The speaker is very underpowered. I had the TV on normal volume in the same room as me and I could barely hear the BlipBlox.Disappointed and will probably be returning as I don't have any speakers to plug it into.

The built in beats and effects are a blast. Super fun to just mess with. For adults you can learn more about how the signal is impacted by each nob to get to some more reproducible sounds. Lastly you can hook it up to a midi keyboard or sequencer to use it as part of your actual musical kit!

We bought the unit last year, and my kid still loves playing with it. We ultimately needed some repairs on the unit, and the customer service was unbelievable. Highly recommend this product and the service team.
