These work great, definitely can save some money on those expensive pods and get whatever coffee you enjoy. It just takes some time to do the task. Although I save about 30 of them before I do it. Then store them is an airtight container to try to keep it as fresh as possible. Not ideal but my result is good

Great product to take used Nespresso pods and reuse them with your own coffee. Included is a a hook to remove the foil, a holder for the empty pod, a dosing ring to make reloading the pod easier, and the foils to seal the pod. There is also an included scoop/brush which I don't use. Used Nespresso pods are not included, so you need to have some store bought pods or be able to get some from family or friends before you are able to use the product.Pro - dosing ring, which makes loading the pods much faster and cleaner.Pro - pod holder, and foil sealer which also helps with the efficiency.Con - there is no guide for the foil. That means you have to eye ball it, and it is often not perfectly centered. While the newly made pod will still work, provided you are mostly-centered, your machine may make strange noises as it spins the off center pod and it could break the seal if you are to far on one side. This generally shouldn't be a problem, and it is something you should be able to tell before putting it in the machine, but it is slightly annoying.Con - the hook is better than using a blade, but still leaves something to be desired. There are better solutions out there, but this is also a minor gripe as you only need to use the hook once per pod.Overall, this kit will drop your per-coffee cost from a dollar or two, to ~10 cents. You can also make better pods than you get from the store as you are using your choice of coffee and that coffee will be fresher.Pro-tip - the package on the store bought pods shows the total coffee per in the box. Divide that number by the number of pods in the box (usually 10), and that is how much coffee Nespresso puts in each pod. I suggest you start with slightly more than that number, since your grind profile will be less optimized. Adjust to taste.

These are truly a great product. Designed to save you money and headaches, this changed the game for my nespresso. Nespresso offers dismal selections for decaffeinated coffee, with this product I am able to select my own coffee and make my own Vertuo pods with zero hassle.

I was skeptical at first but paid the $15 for the kit that includes 80 foils. I had a pound of Starbucks Christmas Blend whole beans, so I ground some up very fine like the coffee you buy in the pods. I took a used pod and followed directions to make my own and tried it - it produced a delicious and frothy espresso just like the original and the flavor of the Christmas Blend like this was crazy good. You need a Exacto knife is all, to cut the old foil off. I even tried to reload the one I had made and it worked as well. I would imagine that, after 5 or 6 reloads, though, the excess foil on the edges would eventually make the pods unusable but I would guess at least a half dozen uses before that happens,So the advantages of this are many: 1. you are recycling and helping the environment 2. You are saving a ton of money. To buy Starbucks pods, you spend $1.44 each. I found a pound of beans can be used to make 30-35 reloaded pods so the cost per pod is roughly 38c. The extra foils are about 13c each so the cost is about 51c per pod so about 60-65% savings! 3. You can choose your own coffee and not be limited to the vertuo selections out there. Christmas Blend is not available but is delicious. I imagine trying some exotic Kona coffee soon. Or if you really want to be frugal, just use some basic generic roasted beans from your local grocer and you could probably get your cost down to 40c/pod.Tips for making this work: (1) grind your beans to a very fine powdery texture so to get the best flavor profile; (2) pack the coffee into the pods firmly and (3) run the butt end of the brush or exacto knife around the edges of the foil when you place it so there will be no leakage.Doing this, I found that I can make a pod in about a minute so there's not a lot of time investment once you get the hang of it. The first couple took longer but, now that I am 30+ pods in, they take about a minute each...not bad. I hope this helps - have fun!
