I bought this to have an emergency replacement for my wall mounted LP gas heaters. I use one heater to keep my shop warm, and the other is the emergency back up heat in house. Having a spare thermocouple is very important. If the existing one fails, it would take days of no heat before I could get a replacement. For a few bucks, peace of mind is worth having a spare.

I ordered this pilot/thermocouple assembly for our propane burning ProCom heater. It is the proper fit. When one of these heaters has a problem it's usually the thermocouple, so this little unit is all it takes to make the difference between a simple repair or buying an expensive new heater. It also has an oxygen depletion sensor built in. The installation is fairly simple and most handymen will be able to do it.
