poorly made, it will work for a while until I can afford a better one. it would bind up if the crank shaft moved inward, I had to add spacers to force the crank shaft to remain centered so it wouldn't bind up.

Does what it claims to do, I bought it for when the power goes out. Went out a few weeks back and I hooked this up. Got hot enough to forge, I'd replace the handle immediately tho. It's small, could easily be twice the length. If you need something to actually forge with on a regular basis, don't get this! If you need something as a back-up in case your main blower goes down, this'll work.

This thing blows (in a good way!). I use it for my living room fireplace. Cranks the heat up and makes building a fire much easier.

First off the gear box needs to be taken apart and greased, there is none at all and it binds up. The arrow for rotation is backwards meaning you have to turn it the opposite way it says to make it blow correctly. I tried flipping the fan over to fix this but its the same both ways. Also there is a big gap where the two pieces of the blower body are spot welded together. I used silicone to close that up. After greasing and sealing the body of the blower up it blows...just not that much, unless you really get cranking but that's hard cuz the handle is so short. For me its going on a janky little brake rotor coal forge I made just for fun. If it was my main forge I would not use this one. For a small home build forge this might work for you with some minor maintenance.
