Free Actuation

It is the simplest but least safe of all firing modes. In this system, you don't need to depress the safety element and can start shooting nails out of the wood right away.

Sequential Actuation

Also knows as restrictive trigger, this system requires you to depress the safety element against the work surface before you can pull the trigger. This system works best for most jobs.

Contact Actuation

Also called dual action, this method allows you to keep the trigger pulled as you bounce the safety element against the work surface for continuous denailing. For professionals use only.

To ensure safe use, it’s recommended that you use safety glasses.

Will not fit 5/8 staples. I purchased the 5/8 staples from Air Locker recommended for this gun and they did not fit. They are about 1/16" to long. Returned those staples and ordered the 1/2". Hopefully they fit.

The gun does a fine job when loaded with relatively long strips of fasteners. With a little practice I had no problem shooting fasteners where I wanted them and by angling across the grain, rather than with it, I had no splitting problems. However, the very short fastener strips found in the 1000 packs of fasteners do not feed well and I see that as a fastener problem and not a gun problem. It's much like loading a bunch of short broken strips of staples in a stapler... they get bound up and jam. The gun has proved serviceable in my shop.

When I received the tool I tried to use the standard corrugated fasteners that all the corrugated guns around here use and they would not work, it would shoot two at a time so I had to order the Air Locker fasteners and when I received them and tried it; it worked great so if you order it make sure you order the air locker fasteners to go with it. I have built several sets of cabinets with it and have had no problems. It is smaller than the others that I have used and seems to have more power than they.

I took the Fastener out of box, loaded it with staples, but it would not dispense the staple. The problem appeared to be with the spring that goes to the safety release. As I pressed down, the spring would bow ever so slightly, just enough so the satety would not be disengaged. Instead of fooling around with it, I returned the item. Not sure if it was an isolated case or if the product spring is actually a defect as the spring was very very thin to bow like it did. If a defect, they should think about a thicker/harder spring so it won't bend. The company was wonderful to deal with: answered emails immediately and accepted the return. I didn't see the credit applied to my CC in a timely manner so I did have to call them. They sent me an email stating they credited that day and I should see the credit applied to my CC in a couple of days. I have not seen that applied yet so I may have to email them again and see what happens.

Probably does not have quite the nice finish of brands Like Senco but works great with no problems. It is being used to assemble picture frames.
