Works with xtronic4000, looks well made, the plastic part that melted on the old one is made of a different composite that should withstand the heat better. The cord is shorter and a little stiffer but I can swap it with the one from the old iron. Also the connector is better than on the original iron one

This was an exact replacement for my x-tronic 4000 series soldering station. But it still has a plastic nut at the base of the handle which is what failed on my previous iron. This looks a little different and seems quite solid. So we shall see if it lasts and holds up longer. I have only used it a few times so far. But so far it is good.

works great, just don't push too hard, or part of the iron might disconnect and get wobbly. The plastic connection to hold all the metal over the ceramic rod is entirely wrong sized and just slides past each other.Again, works fine unless you have a tendency to push hard on the iron, which you shouldn't really do anyway...

Bought to replace a broken iron on my Kendal 853D station, connector fits perfectly, and it functions and seems to hold the correct temperature. Replacement iron is inexpensive enough that I'm not too worried about its durability on a station that isn't heavy duty to begin with.

Quite the upgrade over the iron that originally came with my station. Can confirm that it works and fits the Txinlei 8586 (and I'd imagine its many variants). Seems to heat up quicker and more accurately than the previous iron as well.Super happy with this and kind of glad my old one died now.

This took 15 days to arrive. The strain relief is higher quality and the cable diameter is larger than what came with my eBay 852D+. The cable is flexible and there are no permanent kinks from being bundled up. the cable is 36 inches long, and the complete unit from connector to tip is 45 inches long. The grip stays put and it fits my Kotto helping hands magnetic base iron holder like it was made for it. My non-contact thermometer registers the tip within 3-8% of the potentiometer setting which is quite tight in tolerance if you ask me. I don't foresee any problems.

This arrived today to replace the iron in my Yihua 898D. I was worried that it would not work because one other review said that it did not work in his 898D. It seems to work fine in mine. Heats fast. The cord is a little bit stiffer than the original but not bad. The heating element is ceramic. I am pleased so far. We will see how long it lasts. My old one lasted about 4 years of intermittent hobbyist use.

I ordered this because I moved and lost the original soldering iron in transit. I ordered this one and it showed up promptly and in good working order.PS - I found the missing iron a few days after getting the replacement!
