It allows you to adjust the position of the indicator on the leader, slide it freely along the line, or rig it for break-away action. The patented O-Ring insert system ensures a secure and easy attachment without damaging the leader. The tapered clamping surfaces provide a firm grip on any leader size, from very fine to thick. The textured outer surfaces help you to rotate the indicator halves and identify the right one to tighten. The "stop" groove wears down after extended use and ceases to HOLD the line. Oros are better as are the old Air Lock Foam Indicators.

I bought these as a strike indicator for my 4wt. Compared to similar products, this is subpar. It did not float well.

They are flimsy and did not stay in play no matter how tight I got them. Buy the good stuff. Amazon sells those too.
