I have been a fan of the stovetop fans since I bought my first one ten years ago and I've been on a spree of testing several of these fans to see which ones are the best over this past winter. This 2 blade Alcona fan is very reminiscent of the very first two-bladed fan I bought 10 years ago.On average for my home, I live in a long slender trailer and the heat source is in one end, or the bedroom is in the bar opposite end, and with this fan is about 3 to 5 degrees Celsius warmer in the winter. It helps push air through the house faster so it warms up quicker, and helps distribute the heat more evenly.I also have fans that are 4-blade and 6-blade, this 2-bladed fan is comparable to both of those and may actually outperform them for how far away you can still feel it pushing a warm breeze. While this fan may be a little more expensive compared to most models out there, I do believe that the quality and bigger fan blades make it worthwhile, and is something I would recommend if you are looking for something to help warm up your house faster on a cold winter day, or just to push air into those rooms that may not get as much heat.

I've been testing the Alcona Heat Powered Wood Stove Fan, and it's been a fantastic addition to my living room. The fan does an excellent job at distributing the heat throughout the room. Iv'e got 2 fans on my stove, and adding this second one has really improved the overall flow for my larger room. It's great how it works without any electricity, just using the heat from the stove to power itself. The black design looks sleek and unobtrusive as it matches my stove. But the best part? It's whisper quiet! You hardly notice it's there, except for the warm environment it helps create.Definitely a great buy for anyone with a wood stove. Highly recommend.

This works ok, but not as well as my cheaper 4 bladed fan I purchased for half the price. It definitely helps and works, but the air doesn't circulate as far, or as well as my 4 bladed cheaper fan does. It's also much lighter in weight than any other I've used. I think it's ok, better for smaller areas, but the price is too high compared to other options that work better.

This wood wtove fan is a marvel of thermal efficiency, elegantly designed to disperse the cozy warmth from your wood stove throughout your living space. No need for batteries or power cords, as this fan operates on pure stove heat magic! With a 100CFM rating, it's like having a gentle giant breathing a steady stream of warmth into those frosty room corners. The fan's self-regulating speed is a nod to its clever design—it spins faster as the heat rises, ensuring your comfort is automatically adjusted without lifting a finger. Crafted to withstand Canadian winters, you can trust it's built tougher than a moose. It's an unobtrusive, whisper-quiet presence spreads heat evenly, potentially saving you up to 12% in firewood costs, which is no small potatoes. A toasty, fuel-efficient solution for cold winter days!

Love this on my propane stove. Doesn’t seem to move much air but is really cool to look at.

This fan really moves the air! I have another fan that does the same thing, but it doesn't move as much air as this one does. The only thing I wish it could do better is that it takes a good while longer to start than my other fan, and it stops sooner. I think that this is due to the contact points being higher. However, once it starts moving, it really works. It is silent, or the closest thing to it.

We have a wood stove and heard about these fans that just run on the heat from the metal stove. They really work, are very quiet, and put out a lot of "breeze" for their small size. They are also a temperature indicator, as they slow down when the fire in the stove dies down, and then dont turn at all when the fire is out, and the stove is cooled off. So, two in one, a fan and temp. indicator. I can clean it easily when the dust will accumulate, as it always does, and can put safe and sound in the box it was shipped in, so dont throw it away.
