About this item

  • ★They are Lightweight and durable,Suitable for manufacture in small size.
  • ★Semiconductor coolers are a form of solid state cooling that incorporates both semiconductor technologies and electronic assembly techniques.
  • ★TEC1-12703 Thermoelectric Cooler Cooling Plate Module 12V 3A.
  • ★Get ice cold in minutes or heat to boiling by simply reversing the polarity, used for numerous applications from CPU coolers to alternate power sources, or even for your own.
  • ★These devices must be used in conjunction with a heat sink to avoid burned.

Product Information:
Chip Model: TEC1-12703
Dimensions: 40*40*4. 3mm+0. 1
Maximum Voltage: 15.8V
Maximum Current: 3A
Recommended Voltage: 12V
Maximum Temperature Difference: 65C
Maximum Cooling Capacity: 26W
Assembly Pressure: 85N/cm2
Working Environment: temperature range 55C 85~C (excessive ambient temperature will directly affect cooling efficiency)
Single Weight: 22g
Wire Specifications: wire length 115mm
The side with the words is the cooling side
The wordless side is the cooling side
A radiator or a water cooling device must be installed on the heat dissipation surface, otherwise it will burn out. (Note: Whether it is water cooling or air cooling, thermal grease must be applied)
The cooling effect will be achieved when the power is turned on during the test without heat dissipation. The power should be unplugged immediately within 1 second. Otherwise, it is easy to burn out the cooling chip. Please test carefully, do not use this method for beginners to test.

The Tec1-12715 module do not meet manufacturer specification for cooling. They have only about 1/5 the cooling capability as the specification rates them. For example at 0 degrees delta temperature they are rated to draw about 15 amps at 15 volts. My units only drew less than 4 amps instead of the 15 amps and the cooling was very poor. Did not come close to meeting specification. Very disappointing and I have returned them for a full refund. Thank you Amazon for the full refund.

I ordered 3 TEC1-12715 plates for a project. I could not immediately test them when they arrived, but once I did I found it very odd that they would not pull the current specified on the TEC1-12715 sheet. Instead, they are pulling exactly the same current as a TEC1-12704. I suspect they have been re-stamped and upsold. I am outside of the time period for a return, but I’m darn sure not buying from here again.

Used to cool a custom fermentation chamber down to 45F for a few weeks to lager beer. Replaced a 5A Peltier device (different manufacturer) that was struggling to hit that low of a temp. Operated at 12V (about 7A) via a temperature controller. After cycling on and off multiple times an hour for a few weeks the device is still performing well. Used an active heat sink to dissipate the heat due to the chamber size (roughly 3 cu. ft.).

Photo Context:3D printed a housing to sit ONTOP of peltier to help hold water to make ice. It's there, just under the red housing, with the freshly made ice. :)Works better than the TEC1-12706. Less power AND gets EVEN COLDER. hit -12*c pretty quick. Used an old Desktop Heatsink and an intake and outtake fan. (12v for peltier, and fans). If I need more, I'll buy em here!

I only needed one, but I couldn't beat the price for three. The unit I installed worked great out of the box, the only thing it is not marked which side gets cold and which side gets hot, so before I installed it I tested it for a couple of seconds, the determination is then simple. Remember you will need heat sink compound for each side for heat and cold transfer. After installation I ran it for three days and all worked fine.

I had a bad peltier 12706 in my wine cooler, just wasn't cooling anymore. So i looked on line and seen some videos where it looked like this 12703 seemed to come down to a lower temp faster then 706. When i put it on a rig next to a 12706, the temp on the 706 side seemed lower then on the 703 side when i tested it. So i put a 12706 back in the wine cooler instead and now back to a sold 54 degrees in both sections of my wine cooler. So i dont know why this isn't cooler when the youtube tests showed it come down colder, but it didn't for me. I tried two of them out of the 3 and both did not bring down the temperature. So not sure if it's just these from this seller, or these 703s are spec'd differently? Anyways, didn't work for me.

If your application isn't sensitive to tight performance tolerances, these TECs are probably adequate.I did, however, measure a fairly wide range of impedance among the individual TECs (2 to 4 ohms variation). As I don't presently have the capability of measuring actual heat flux while they're operating, I can't say for sure what effect the impedance variance may mean in actual use.Otherwise, they arrived in good condition, and they all functioned out of the box.
