I want my kids to start school off right so this was so perfect to practice everyday. It’s now apart of our daily routine.

I wish I could give 3 1/2 stars. The plastic you slide the cards into are too short. The area where they should write the letters doesn’t work since the plastic cuts off half way. I guess you could take it out and have them write on it but we just use our chalkboard.Cute overall and we are using it but not the best quality.

I love this for my toddler. I introduce one letter a week and by the end of the week she’s got it down. Way easier to use then flash cards and it puts a lot leg pressure on the person learning. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Biggest issue is there are only 2 picture cards for x, y, z/k, l, m… and one of the images for k is knife with a silent k 😒. All other letters get 4 picture cards each so it is a real let down for the k-l-m to have less. There is absolutely no diversity. Every human representation in this is white. While I appreciate the real photos the lack of culture is sad.Does not contain any hooks to hang or mount the chart. The times new roman style font is not primary friendly with the g and a especially, but the tracing cards are much better. The muted color scheme complements the photos. Pieces are large and seem durable. Poem pictures match the rhymes.I went back and forth on 3 or 4 stars it’s really a 3.5 because function is more important than aesthetics.

Wow! I'm impressed with this whole set of letters and all the information it brings! For our homeschool preschool, I introduce a new letter each week and this has been a great addition to bring a visual aspect to the lessons. I love that each letter brings a passage to read, that focuses on that specific letter. We take turns putting each flashcard on the chart and go over it everyday. I love the neutral colors, it isn't overstimulating at all. The cards with writing lines on them are fun to practice writing each letter. Everything is laminated and can be written on with dry erase marker. All cards wipe off easily and are thick and sturdy. Such a great find, will be using for many years to come!

The black canvas pocket chart is sturdy and durable. All of the visuals have to be popped out and do so easily. I only had one tear a bit. They are fairly durable, but the quality of lamination could be improved upon. The words with the initial target letter all have clear pictures and the vocabulary is appropriate for younger children. There are a few blank lined pieces that can be used for practice with a dry erase marker. I wish the bottom had two large pockets for the large visual for finding the letter in the alphabet, as well as generating your own words that start with the target letter. The extra storage sections could then be placed on the back of the canvas chart. Overall, a nice addition to a preschool room, in-home daycare, or primary level classroom.

I just love this learning set! I love that it has the letters in big bold fonts I love that it has the capital and the lowercase of each letter. And I really love that it comes with other cards that have words that start with the letter that we're learning for that week. They're a great size and are big enough that they're able to be seen very well but not so big that they look oversized on the wall. The colors of the pictures are great however I do think that the color of the rest of it is a little bland and I think it should be a little bit brighter for little minds. It is made with a very durable material for the thing you hang up with the pockets on it and I have switched them out and have had no problems with it ripping or tearing. I also like that it comes with the little dry erase one that my child can write on and practice writing her letters. Overall I think this is a really great teaching tool and I think it's a great value because you get so much in this kit to teach your child! I think this would be a great addition for any homeschooling mom or any teacher!

It's too bad about all the mistakes and inconsistencies in the 'poetry cards,' because the rest of the set is pretty nice and I would happily have used it in my classroom. As it is, the poetry cards are the largest element of each letter's display, and they have a critical role in teaching children the sounds the letters make, yet the cards are riddled with errors. The most common problem was uncapitalized proper names ('kansas Zoo,' 'kim'), or failing to capitalize the first word in a sentence, but there were also misspellings ('pock' for 'pack') and misused words ('a weasel and a warthog waiter in a tent'). Waiter is of course a word, but it's not a verb. Even waiters don't 'waiter.'Sometimes the illustrations didn't match the text well, as though the person who drew the pictures had some understanding of English more broadly, but not in detailed terms. For instance, one letter used boys' proper names accompanied by a drawing of two girls, while another put a girl's name in the poem, and a boy in the picture. Letter J features a jaguar with jellybeans in his pock [sic, mentioned above], but this is supposed to rhyme with a later line ending with the name Jack. Okay, so then surely they meant 'pack,' which would preserve the rhyme, but the picture shows a glass jar hanging from a strap around the animal's neck. A jar and a pack are two totally different things, however, so again, it's like the illustration and the words almost go together, but not quite. Similarly, with the weasel and warthog mentioned above, the text says that they're waiting in a tent to stay out of the bad weather, yet they are pictured standing outside the tent, under a clear sky. Unfortunately, these kinds of things happen over and over throughout the poetry cards.A set meant to help children learn early literacy skills should contain correct English, and illustrations meant to convey the meaning of a text (which those children cannot yet read for themselves!) should be accurate, not sort of approximate. These problems drag the whole set down for me. In addition to those pervasive issues, the company also chose 'knife' as an example of a word that starts with 'k' (Sure, but the word actually begins with the /n/ sound, so that's a confusing example of a k word to give little ones.), and I'm pretty sure the photograph they chose for Yak is actually a bison. I would have come up with a work-around for those, if they were the only two problems, but they are not.I will now have to choose between chucking the whole thing and ordering a different set, or using the other elements and just leaving a huge blank space where the poetry cards are supposed to go, or making my own cards to fill that spot. I would probably give the rest of the set four stars, but the product doesn't work as intended without the poetry cards, which deserve only one star. I shouldn't have to pour more money or time into fixing all the problems outlined above, which never should have made it past quality control, so I'm afraid I can't give more than two stars in total. There's a lot to like here, gutted by a series of cascading flaws.
