I bought this tank cleaner because I had a cheap plastic wand that came apart when I was using it to clean out my RV hot water tank....the plastic one blew apart and the plastic wand went into the tank and it took about an hour to finally grapple it out... I was lucky...this prompted my to buy a more expensive and STURDY one. I encourage anyone who has a plastic cleanup flush rod to immediately get one that won't blow into the tank .

This is durable and won't break or rot like cheap plastic versions. It's solidly-built - a quality tool. My only reservation is the stream is not adjustable at the spray nozzle, but in nevertheless powers-out buildup from inside my RV water heater tank.

Was very happy to find this all metal tool. It worked great and being all metal the tube shouldn’t split. Had previously purchased two from Camco which were plastic. The tube on each split after only one use.

We have hard water so I change my electric water heater elements and flush out the mineral accumulation every year or two. I have a ball valve for draining at the bottom of the tank but the mineral bits and accumulation does not easily drain out the valve. After removing the old lower element I can use a shopvac through the element hole to suck out the minerals using a piece of garden hose inserted in and taped to a piece of 1-inch PVC which itself is inserted in and taped to an adapter that then fits on the shopvac hose. It helps to flush the minerals with some water but running it in from the cold water feed hasn't worked well for me so I got this well-made stainless steel tool to try. I located the collections of minerals with an endoscope light and then used this tool to aim a narrow stream of water at them and that allowed me to suck out most of the minerals more thoroughly than ever before. There are plastic versions of this tool but users have reported having the tube come loose from the valve and end up irretrievable inside the water heater tank. This tool seems to be very well made and I highly recommend it to make flushing water heaters much easier. The first pic shows the mineral-covered lower element, which I replaced with a new one. The second pic shows the barely-affected upper element which I refitted with a new gasket and put back in to use for at least another year. The third pic shows some of the minerals I flushed out.

I never had used one of the plastic flusher similar to this one. This seems like a solid well made flusher that will probably outlast me. It worked pretty well I was able to get a lot of junk out of my water heater and my camper was new last year.

We weren’t able to use this this year, but it appears very durable and I expect it will last a very long time.

The design of this wand is better than the last one that I had, it fits into an Rv water heater easier and the pressure that it creates cleans out all the nasty stuff very well.

Fits in the hole of the 6-gallon Suburban water heater easily. Much more durable than the plastic style, should last for years.
