This has a great temp consistence across the base and the sides of the pan. I did a few test temp measures and the center of the pan compared to the side of the pan only had a 5 degree Fahrenheit loss from the middle of the bottom to 3 inches up on the side.

I love this splatter screen! It works great. It is easy to clean — doesn't "burn" or turn black around the edges like mesh screens do. And you could use it for steaming, as well. I think it's well worth the cost. You're not going to be replacing this like you might with mesh screens.

This piece is well crafted and what you’d expect from All Clad. However, it is very heavy. It functions well other than that, but just know it’s not lightweight and will take some getting used to which you’re busy in the kitchen.

Awesome pot! I could no longer use my heavy cat iron Dutch oven and bought this to replace it. Works just as good if not better than my old Dutch oven. The splatter guard lid is a great bonus that fits great on my frying pans too. Well worth the money!
