How to use Pill Splitter Scissors
- Lightly hold the tablet you want to cut with your thumb and index finger.
- Pinch the part you want to cut in half.
- Once fixed, remove your finger from the tablet.
- Place your hand under the scissors so as to hold the tablet after cutting it.
- Cut gently with little force so as not to crush it.

Very sharp. Cuts a large tablet into half. Easy to use. Cuts better than the conventional tablet cutter. Highly recommend it although it's a bit expensive.

I've tried several other pill cutters and this one is, by far, the best one. It will cut perfectly and there is very little pill residue remaining. The only problem I have is the holes for your fingers are just a little small. If you have fat fingers (like me) it might be just a little small. The edges are so sharp, you won't have a problem cutting even really big pills. This is great!

In the Amazon post, reviews for scissors cutting small pills and large pills are both featured. When buying, you need to choose the scissors for the size of pill you will cut and select the color of the scissor handles. I initially thought the listing was just for small scissors, but somehow had reviews for both sizes. After measuring my pill, I chose scissors for small pills with black handles.After reading many conflicting pill splitting reviews on various days, I decided that I would have more success with the scissors for cutting and longevity. I read about stainless steel and the grades of it. I learned that stainless steel could rust. I also found out that even if the pills are scored, that does not mean they are to be split. Some active ingredients and fillers are not evenly distributed in the whole pill. Some pills lose potency when cut and stored. If one ends up with some pieces and powdered crumbles, it is best to go one day at a time. That cannot go in a pill organizer.I planned to split my pills all at once and have them ready in my 2-week pill organizer. I take half a pill each day. I learned that my medication is one of the ones that should not be cut in advance. When both halves are taken, I cut the next pill right before I consume half of it. Sometimes I have more success than others cutting the pills. It seems to work well most of the time. My medication has a scored-type, indented line on the upper and lower third of it. Since it is not really scored all the way across, I do have to be careful, or I end up getting two pieces of varying size.I think the scissors are working well for me. When I do not get an accurate cut, it is my fault.

Fantastic tool for cutting solid tablets. Very sharp steel blades, well made, cuts through the toughest of tablets with ease, made in Japan. Yes, you do need to 'eyeball' the cutting position to get equal parts, but that isn't difficult. Worth the price, highly recommend.

Cuts accurately. But you will need to centre the tablet properly. There is a learning curve to it.

The scissors really does cut accurately. A little pricey but it worth the investment. Only work for smaller pills.

A little hard to line up and know exactly where middle of pill is, but cuts very well. Very helpful for cutting pills into quarters, which the other type of splitter does not do well.
