I recommend this for holding phone while driving - phone stays in place, no marks on vents, will go on and come off easily.

Was looking for an easy holder to prop up my phone for my job. I have to constantly take my phone off the holder and was looking something I could easy prop my phone up with without it falling. I honestly didn’t think I’d actually find something quick and easy to use and this great of a price.

I’ve purchased 20 different cell phone holders, never finding one that lasts. The ones that connect to the vent you need to be a surgeon to get it on or off and they also break easily. This new style is a big rubber connection that fits in snug and is easy to tighten down and loosen up it is not falling off ones, I ordered four of them. I’ve thrown away holders that were 2 to 3 times the price this one saves the day. Perfect. And the stupid little hug buddy sticker peels right off no problem that was the only thing that turned me off but it peeled right off easy. Don’t buy one by six of them. Give them away is Christmas gifts. Your whole family will love you.

My daughter has a Hug Buddy that I’ve admired for years. Disgusted with the other holders I’ve tried, I decided to give this a try.I love the concept and the cute little dude. But there were definitely problems before it broke and became unusable.1. It doesn’t work well with OtterBox Defender. Too bulky, I guess. The arms aren’t long enough, though it would still work if the arms of the HB were more resilient, but what happens is that the strength of the metal inside the rubber gets weakened when I repeatedly put in and took my phone out of its grip.2. The way it attaches to the vent is problematic. I’ve never understood why the paddles that go into the vents aren’t narrower on all phone holders so that they go all the way in past the vertical plastic pieces that direct which direction the air flows. Why, Developers? Why?!?The way they are now, they’re destined to fail because each time the holder falls off, one has to reattach it to the vents, further weakening the mechanics of the attachment device.The last time I tried to reattach the holder to the vent, one of the pieces cracked. No good. (I tried to post a pic but it wouldn’t load.)I only received the HB a couple of weeks ago. I’m quite disappointed.In addition, it’s a pain in the tushy to attach to the vent. Too many movable parts.The reviews had said that the company had made improvements to the means of attachment. I can only shudder in wonder at how bad it must’ve been before the “improvements”. Maybe they should go back to the design of 5 years ago, because that one - the one my daughter has - seems to actually stand the test of time.I loved it while it worked, though.Sigh. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

This was my second purchase of this product.The first one I’d picked up in Toronto in 2018 from some store while visiting.And I’m still using that one!!!This I bought for my husband.It’s good value for the money you pay.I’ve bought several phone holders for my iPhone prior to this and they’d disappoint after 6 months max.It’s easy to affix to your vent coz it’s like a clip.Doesnt fall off and stays put.You don’t have to worry about suction or magnetic hold as there’s none.It just clips on to your ac vent and the grips wrap around your phone (whatever size in case of an iPhone)I would definitely recommend.

My husband has one and it works great for him so I had high hopes when I bought mine. Unfortunately the hug buddy did not work for me. I have a 2015 Mazda CX-5 and the hug buddy did not stay in my vent with or without my phone. Every movement I made with my car sent the hug buddy flying. Very disappointing.

My friend has an older version of this and said it was great. The problem is they changed the attachment part, the older version she has had a clip that clipped onto and stayed on the vent. This version has weird little bendy arms that work okay until you have to take a sharp turn, then your phone and the holder fly off the vent and across your car.
