I know they are expensive, but they are the best flight jackets you can purchase. They are very durable and easy to wash. Totally recommend anything from Alpha industries and I own 3 of their products as a result.

This jacket is absolutely gorgeous!, 100% quality as all of Alpha industries jackets are, but coming from a Rothco Awu-45p to this is literally Night and Day it's absolute perfection, just take the plunge you will not regret it, I will never wear another jacket ever again, once again I am 47 years old, I am 5'10" and weigh 165 pounds, and the large is perfect with or without a hoodie underneath, perfect jacket but I recommend sizing up unless your a toothpick.

My jacket was amazing. I was however disappointed with the price that Amazon charged. After I received my jacket I went on the alfa website and found my jacket for half the price. From now on I will check the vendor directly.

Die Jacke hat sehr gut gepasst, keine Frage… allerdings ist sie in der angebotenen Farbe "Navy" gar nicht auf Lager und es wurde einfach eine andere Farbe (Repl. Blue) geliefert.Man sollte die Ware, welche man anbietet schon vorrätig haben, ansonsten macht’s keinen Sinn!

This is a really good bomber jacket that fits well, and looks just as the picture. I went for a small size, I`m 38" chest. I bought a Sage Green and although made in China don`t let that put you off. Shame it`s not made in the USA though.

Awesome jacket very high quality and very warm. Deffinitely better for colder climates. It fits small I typically float between a large and an xl but with this jacket a 2xl fits perfectly. They run very short as well and Im not a tall guy so thats saying something, however flight jackets are not intended to be long. Overall great jacket Im very impressed.

I purchased the CWU-45P not too long ago to serve in colder weather because the landing leathers A-2 is not intended for very low temps and while leather is good for wind it does jack for cold. Alpha's website says the jacket is good to 25 degrees its actually good to lower then that I have been wearing it around in -12 here in Pittsburgh pa and can report its quite warm. The CWU-45P is also the 2nd most popular so called bomber jacket currently offered to civilians ( the A-2 is the most popular). Its still current issue to USN USMC and USAF pilots I'm not sure about Army aviation but I suspect they would follow suit. The Mil spec version is fire retardant nomex but seriously are we going to need that going to the store? I think not. Now on to the jacket itself I have a number of nylon jackets and this is by far the best of any its heavy grade and very smooth (puts me in mind of nomex) the only drawback is its shorter then it looks not that I find that a bad thing for work The second thing thats going to surprise you is no slash handwarmer pockets ( the A2 has them) there was some small stitching issues ( not uncommon these days) the tag is Velcro and will accommodate any Velcro backed tag (my N7 mass effect looks awesome on it) its doing a great job as my winter coat I'm glad I bought it after such a positive experience I'm thinking about the M-65 as well. I got the CWU for my USAF patches collection I'm hoping to put my Aliens colonial marine corps patches on the M-65 stay tuned for updates

I bought this about a year ago in sage green and it's turned into my favorite coat. It looks sharp and the pockets are large enough to hold a 7" tablet computer. Despite being a utilitarian piece of military styled clothing I've gotten comments about it looking nice from some of the better dressed people I know. I'll probably be buying a couple more in different colors soon. It's also light enough but warm enough to wear from early fall all the way through late spring provided you wear long sleeves under it in the winter. If there's any complaint it that it has no pockets for your hands to slip into, so invest in gloves. One thing though, when people say to order a size too large, order a size too large. When I bought it I wore Extra Large and it was outright too small on me. Alpha Industries was more than happy to exchange it directly and even let me change the color while I was at it. The 2X fits well, but the low-waisted cut means the bottom of my belly is exposed. Not fun when we had unusually cold weather last year.
