Boots feels solid and comfortable. I use it for climbing trees. Hopefully it’ll last as long as the salewa evo condor. Had the salewas for 3 yrs and the only thing that wore out were the soles. Hopefully these boots will last as long or more. But these alpinas are nice

When I got these, my first impression was of those alpine boots I would wear in the 80's as I was climbing around Europe. These are heavy weight and solid. I will say that they are very stiff. I only have around 20 miles on them and they are still very stiff. I also have a bit of pressure where my big toe knuckle sits. However, it appears it is getting better with time. My goal for these boots is to wear them for my longer hikes and overnights in the Colorado mountains. At 3.6 lbs they are a bit heavy for me to wear on the shorter excursions. BTW, they say to choose a half size smaller then you would normally. I chose the exact size I would normally wear and, for me, they fit perfect (and I can wear thicker socks).
