There was no nut on the screw on the back, no additional nuts were provided to tighten it down. The only nut that came was for the handle.The bottom plate has a major depression in it, making it completely useless as a press, unless you roll out the dough to begin with, and isn't the point of this to not make you have to do that?!I don't know if it's easy to clean or not because it's not usable.Extremely disappointed and will 100% be returning it.

I have gone through 3 wooden standard tostoneras. All of them, the screws became loosed and eventually fell off. This cast iron smasher is great for making tortillas but even better for tostones. The top and bottom piece is easily attached with removable bolt and nut for easily cleaning. The weight of the cast iron is perfect for smashing food with little effort.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for an older family member, and the handle snapped off after only about a dozen tortillas made. The metal didn't even bend, it just broke. I'm very glad that it didn't end up hurting my family member. I'm disappointed in the quality of the product.

I love it its easy to use not to heavy i had to assemble it but it is not hard to assemble at all takes less than a minute to do that i have been using it almost daily i am getting the bigger one though because my tortillas are tiny but i just wanted to try it first and now that i know how it works and i lve it i'm getting the bigger one.
