I'd say it's more of an aesthetic appearance rather than functionality. Just be sure to order the proper match for your forearm/butt receiver and shaft pin. Would definitely buy again.

Shaft cap will not screw ;into shaft . Wrong threads on cap. butt cap works fine.

This joint protector is almost on point...the male insert side could use a little more depth to it's overall penetration to fit tighter. Other then that, great little product.
