I had already done this job with a dorman replacement (plastic) and it failed after about a year. So tried this one and I got to say it seems to be good quality. I like how it's aluminum and the seal seams to be good. Will update if any issues

Bought this to replace the OEM plastic junk VW put on the car (which gets brittle and splits - i.e. fails on you). This metal flange is a perfect fit and now I won't every have to worry about this failing me again. Highly recommend!
