This is an RTL- software defined radio receiver with RTL2832U ADC chip, R820T2 tuner, 1PPM TCXO, for SMA F connector and aluminum housing with passive cooling. Tuning range is 500 kHz to 1.7 GHz, with instantaneous bandwidth up to 3.2 MHz(maximum stable bandwidth is 2.4 MHz, or 3.2 MHz if your application can tolerate USB drops).(HF operates in direct sampling mode- only available on models V.3 and above). as a computer-based radio scanner with software such as#, HD,-Radio, Linrad, GQRX or Touch on And roid. Works with dows, for Linux, And roid and even embedded for Linux computers like Rasp berry Pi.
This model has several key improvements compared to other models. It uses an improved R820T2 tuner with 1PPM TCXO(2 PPM initial offset, 1 PPM temperature drift), improved component tolerances, and for SMA F connectors. It also features software-activatable bias circuitry for powering external devices such as LNAs and active antennas. It also has high frequency reception capabilities. Most standard RTL- dongles are tunable down to 24 MHz. This model has hardware that unlocks"direct sampling mode" and allows tuning down to 500 kHz. There is a built-in 25 MHz low-pass filter to optimize this mode.
Various other improvements to other models were also applied. For example, chokes were added to the USB lines and additional bypass capacitors and power line ferrites were added to reduce internal and PC noise, the PCB was redesigned to significantly reduce noise performance, ESD protection was improved, front-end The circuitry has been optimized for broadband use(other models are still optimized for DVB-T frequencies), the LDO has been upgraded, and multiple pads have been added for advanced users.
This device requires USB 2.0(works with most USB 3.0 ports, but we can't guarantee it will work with all ports, so make sure your PC has a native USB 2.0 port, just in case). Installation on dows is simple, Goo gle for the RTL- blog quick start guide(sorry, links not allowed on e Bay).
