Never warm up your spindle with this bit. It will break and fly off. It's designed for low RPM's. I think its about 9,000 rpms. Make sure you read the manufacturer's specs! Other than that, they will last forever milling EPS foam. At least, that's what I use these bits for.

When it works it's great but with 50in/min feed rate, spinning at 6000 rpm, and 3 in depth of cut in foam it broke at the shank. I tried using the remaining length and it broke at the shank 2 more times even after reducing the speed to 25 in/min. Very frustrating and expensive for how delicate it is.

Really nice quality. Make sure if you're milling foam to use slow feed rates (around 100 inch/min) and do not exceed the recommended spindle speed of 6000RPM. This is a very long bit and will vibrate leaving an undesirable finish if forced to cut through too much material. Also ensure you use conventional cutting with this bit for a smooth finish on the foam.
