This bit was a job saver. I was cutting a sign with rather large letters. The width of the V carve was .75 inches. I first started the cut with a 90 degree 3/8th inch v bit (Amana # 45701) and the results were awful. Choppy and ridges throughout the cut. I contacted customer support for my CNC ( New Wave) and for days the techs and engineers had no answers. They told me to use a 30 degree bit instead. (WHAT??) I then thought to try a bit with a wider diameter and voila! The results with this bit were damn close to perfection. Lesson learned. Wider 90 degree V cuts need a wider V bit.

Just used this bit for the first time. Worked perfectly with the feed and speed stated on the paperwork that came with the bit. This was a huge upgrade for my CNC router. My old bit would leave ridges inside the v-groove and I figured it was a limitation of my CNC. But with this bit I now realize it was just a limitation of the bit I was using. I'm very happy with this bit and would highly recommend.

Makes quick work of deep engravings and super sharp. Love that I can turn/replace the carbide insert. As you can see from the attached photo, minimal post production clean up to be done, but still a little tear out going against the grain.

The Amana Tool - RC-45711 In-Tech Insert Carbide V Groove 90 has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. What sets it apart is the convenience of being able to change out the blade, providing less waste and room taking in the tool drawer. The carving performance is exceptional, producing clean and precise grooves with ease. It's great for carving signs and making 45 degree miter cuts on the CNC.

I run three cnc machines all day every day & have used all sorts of bits. I have not found anything that comes close. I have read a few bad reviews about aligning the blade, but in my opinion, that sets them well apart from everything else. I purchased one a few months ago to try & struggled to get the blade right as I was trying to centralize it. The blade has to be to the right! then angle the blade to get the point as central to how "you" want it, a bit of practice & I get it right every time now. I now run them on all my machines.A real added bonus is the price of the replacement blades, which I find hold their edge better than two flute bits & can be rotated when the blade starts to dull.

Cuts great! Seems a bit buzzy in the spindle but cuts look great. For this price it seems like a steal. Would like to try a few others like this at some point.
