This item is being used on a jon boat. With low gunwales and shallow draft, it is super tough to get in from the water deeper a few feet.What this ladder offers is a solid foothold, sturdy entry and easy, stowable permanent ladder.The mounting feet work well as a brace when fully rotated to open. This keeps the ladder in a "vertical" position. It folds into itself for compact secure storage.It is well built in stainless. I use it in salt water with no adverse effects to date.Summary-I would recommend for similar vessels such as bass boats etc.It has been a major improvement over rope ladders etc I've tried in the past. An accessory well worth the investment to gain safe, simple functionality.

Mounted on my teak swim platform and I weigh 240 lbs. No flex and ladder does not fold under as I climb, very inexpensive

No mounting hardware and bolt holes didn’t match my previous ladder so had to remove the top handle and install the old mounts.

This ladder allows you to use your legs to get in and out of the boat easier than my older single step. Respectable makes it easy for storage.

Helps tremendously. We had a two step ladder previously and this was an easy install and make it easier to get in and out of our boat.

It works great and I was surprised how sturdy it was as I installed it seemed like it might be flimsy,but my son is 6'5"and 200 lbs and it works great for him. You do have to watch out when you lift it so it doesn't hit your hand as it co[lapses for storage . The only issue I have is the Velcro strap is a little odd as it does't quite wrap the way it should but I had another one that works well.

Great quality for the price! Yes it doesn't come with any mounting hardware, but your local HARDWARE store will have everything you need for a couple bucks! I used 1/4" stainless steel panhead bolts. Was easy to mount looks and performs great! We mounted it on the front of our Pontoon so the kids could climb up and jump off the front without soaking us running through the whole boat!
