Despite the 100% lack of directions with the product, they are easy to thread, there are several YouTube videos on exactly how to. These never locked. the barrels never meet. There is no way to adjust them. You pull the string, the blind goes up, you let go of the string, the blind comes down. They do not stay up, regardless of what you do. I ordered a bag of 10, and not a single one worked. complete waste of time.

I Made a mistake with these. They are just a pulley, they don’t keep the shade up. As a pulley they work great

I was worried how these would work for my drapery clients but they worked very well and the shades were easy to pull up and down and lock! And be sure you put it on the correct way, if you don't, it won't lock! I just reversed the strings to put them back thru the cordlock.

I have this type of item on ready made Roman shades so I thought I would try these on the new Roman shades I made. They do not always catch. A bit disappointed

Consider this a poison pen letter. I think this is the WORST PRODUCT I have ever purchased, especially through Amazon.Firstly, they come with no instruction, either to describe how to thread or whether to thread before or after installation. The treading process is nearly impossible and could not be more frustrating. I finally had to jam the gear open to thread them at all. Each one took a minimum of 30 to 40 minutes to thread properly. I have endured three locks and will be throwing out the remaining five, in spite of the cost.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THESE!

used this on a woven wood shade covering a 6' window. Original hardware was too light. This one works MUCH better! I had only three strings, but by keeping the strings in the middle three slots, the strings did not get caught between the side and the brass gears.

These work just fine. I had some problems at first, but I put my husband on fixing it and sure enough they work as they should. They have to be mounted so that the little metal piece (the piece that holds the one interior cylinder stable) on the outside faces towards the direction that the majority of the fabric is (not closest to the window frame). You also have to have tension on the cord lines. At first i had installed my cords through the roller guides incorrectly, which was not allowing enough weight on the cord lock. I have used them on six windows with success.
