When this first arrived, I thought someone had slapped the Ambitful name on a Neewer stand as they look almost identical. The competing product (in the right on all these photos) was, at the time of ordering, twice as expensive as this Ambitful stand. And while the Neewer does feel like a better product, especially given that it has air cushioning to go along with the spring cushion, I don't know that I'd say that it's twice as good. All the connections feel sturdy, and the materials sound. Rolling is nice and smooth, and the foam grip is a nice touch. For the price, it's really hard to beat this stand, especially given that it even comes with a sandbag (I love Ambitful sandbags by the way).

This light stand is more than adequate for many light units.I can mount continuous lights, flash strobes, and large diffusers using this light stand because it is so sturdy. The stainless steel construction makes it weigh a lot more than the average light stand included with budget lighting kits, but it is well worth it. I'd say it's necessary to own one like this if you're going to mount heavy lights with large softboxes and such. The caster wheels are smooth and help with moving the lights around tremendously.Recommended.

This is excellent light stand for studio lights. It comes with the stand and a sandbag, which you need to fill if you plan to use it as a counterweight. The stand is very solidly built. I have a similar one for Lapgoods and while they look similar, the casters on this stand rolls much smoother and it’s easy to move this around. Light stand has locks to secure the legs either in open or closed position and you can raise the height to 10 ft. It easily supports the lights I have with a modifier. One thing to note is that it doesn’t include a wrench to tighten the caster wheels so you’ll need a slim plier or wrench (I forget the size as I used a needle nose plier) to tighten it. Overall, excellent light stand that’s easy to recommend!

This really is a heavy duty light stand. It uses all heavy gauge metal construction. I was worried that the double bracing would be flimsy, but even those are thick metal. This is a stand that I can have some confidence in as it is constructed like a C-stand.The stand does have a reach of 10 feet, but with the relatively narrow leg spam, you have to be careful when you have any amount of weight up that high. The included sand bag will only do so much. I do like that it has a standard baby pin on top.The castors will require some tools to get them attached to the stand. They roll very easily on hard floors. The wheels are more plastic than rubber and while sturdy, they can slide a bit on some surfaces even with the wheels locked. The legs fold up and lock in place for transporting, but with the castors sticking out, finding a storage bag this stand would fit into was a challenge. Overall though, I am very happy with this light stand.

Very solid and rolls well. It's just wide enough at the base for me to be comfortable with an AD300 as my middlelight. You'll be pleased.

This is a great stand for set and studio use alike. The legs and wheels are so robust and so far, this hasn't let me down at all. The included bag to use as a weight is a really cool addition, just know that you have to fill it with sand/rocks. It doesn't come prefilled. The max height experiences little to no wobble at all when paired with fixtures and raised. So that's also a plus. Of course, I wouldn't go beyond the suggested weight limits so don't test it because it's there for a reason. It's a really great stand.

Ambitful has really delivered recently on quality products at a reasonable price point. This is another example and I've been using this stand in studio for a couple months. I'm a big believer in wheels on studio stands to move things where you need quickly to get setup efficiently and this stand gets the job done perfectly. The stand is exceptionally well made or steel components. No skimping on construction or materials here. The legs do fold up for travel and I've taken this stand along a time or two but typically I keep it assembled in studio. Spring loaded center column helps protect your gear from hard stops and the springs are really strong. The included wheels are well made and handle the stand as well as any lighting I've put on it easily. A rubber grip helps you move the stand around and really adds a nice feel. And yes, it does extend to nearly 10ft. Wow! Finally, as is all this wasn't enough to make a great stand, a sandbag is included to help with stability. If you want to invest in a real quality stand that is heavy duty and sturdy enough to hold anything you can throw at it, this is a great choice. Easy 5 stars.

Very nice quality at the price, this is one of my favorite light stands.Packaged nicely, and easy to set up, it has some weight to it (in a good way).Materials all feel solid and tough, and I've put some heavy lights on it with no issues.Height range is nice too, and goes taller than my current studio's ceiling.Packs up nicely as well for travel and storage.
