tool is just ok. Since the mango pit is oddly shaped, it is difficult to slice down the fruit exactly where you get the most fruit. If the fruit is fairly ripe, the hoop can easily slice through the skin, making a bigger mess than if you had just peeled the mango.

This is a great tool for quickly pitting and slicing mangos. I bought this mango slicer to speed up the prep time for dehydrating mangos. It takes a couple tries to get the hang of how to hold the mango and use the slicer, but once you get the grip and angles, the slicer quickly pits the mangos and slices the fruit from the skin.

This product is so slick! I had purchased an entire box of mango and I had them all done in minutes! There was very little waste and hardly any liquid mess. If you consider I did like 15 and was expecting tons of mess, it went super quick and easy. We really like this product.

Tried this with mangos and found it is not only hard to use, but doesn't cut well. If you have a green mango, it might be useful, but does not work on a ripe one.

Took some practice, but it works pretty well. You have to saw a little to get the pit out, and it still makes a juicy mess... but it works much better than trying to use a knife. I still wind up having to clean some of the skin off at the end, and the very bottom of the cut isn't the easiest. The one thing I'll say... it doesn't *look* terribly sharp, but still, hold the mango on a cutting board and not in your hand. It can still cut you. Doing it this way mashes the bottom of the mango a little, but it also saves money on bandaids.

This product is okay, yet there are other products from India and the Philippines that makes this product look bad. It is hard to manuever. There is a mango wedger that does a fantasic job and it works. The Amco 2 in 1 Mango Tool doesn't really do much, use a spoon and it will clean the mango up quick. One two three no more. Another way is using a strong glass, put the peel on the side and push down, mango comes out nice and clean. This product forget it. I eat mangos every day of my life and this tool doesn't cut it.

Not very sharp and the wire end (round side) does not work as designed. It scrapes more than it cuts.

A good product, simple and easy to use and a solution to an age old problem. Very useful in every kitchen.

I've tried firm mangoes, ripe mangoes and in between mangoes. Every time, I pile of jagged mango chunks and sticky hands. The pitting tool works, but the scooping/slicing side isn't sharp enough.I thought that even if this product was mediocre as the reviews indicate, it would still be faster and easier than scoring and slicing with a knife. Nope.
