I purchased this motor in 2015, and it has been functioning perfectly for 9 years! Highly recommended.

Works great with my mirror ball which is about 24-30 inches and weighs about 25 lbs. I connected it to my DMX controller and it works as it should. The variable speed is nice and ability to rotate both directions is neat. If I have any long term issues I will follow up in the review. If there is no edit, then I am perfectly happy with the product.

At the moment, this product does not function as intended. On every rotation, the part that holds the mirror ball gets "hung up" and will not rotate past a certain point. It tries and clicks, tries and clicks, etc. in rapid succession. I can force the rotation by putting more pressure on the mirror ball with my hands, but that only lasts until the next time it gets to the same spot in the rotation. As I did not install this motor until after the return period, I will now look forward to opening up the cover and digging into the mechanics of everything to see if I can find the repair that's needed.

I took this out of the box and got it set up finally on my ceiling it was about a month after as I needed an electrician to come out and install an outlet first and that took time it turned on one time then the motor sounded like it got jammed and it won’t work. The cherry on top the company won’t help since it’s been 30 days and won’t even replace it with a different one. Complete rip off don’t buy this!

Works well. Adjustable speed and direction. A little expensive for a home disco enthusiasts, but it's the only one I saw with dmx controls. Really makes the mirror ball do what I want. Professional level quality for sure.

Sometimes you want your mirror ball a mellow 1 RPM. Sometimes you want it a faster 3-5 RPMs. Pairing this ADJ Heavy Duty DMX Mirror Ball Motor with the ADJ Products 12 CHANNEL BASIC DMX CONTROLLER is the only way to achieve this currently, as most mirror ball motors are fixed RPMs. Seems well constructed and is very quiet.

Ultimately, this product has worked well. But, it arrived without a manual. I downloaded the manual which gives incomplete information about DMX mode. The 15 page manual refers to page 21 for further setup info? Here are some tips. Look at A US Standard 512 DMX Chart to determine the setting for Dip Switched 1-9. I wanted the device to operate on Channels 312 and 313 which the chart has switches 4,5,6,9 set to on. Set Dip Switch 10 to off position. Using Light-O-Rama S5 Sequencer (32-bit), Version 5.1.4 Pro Edition as the controller, I added the DMX device and programmed the speed and direction on Universe 1 Channel 313 to coordinate with my music and light show. Ta-Da!

Got it working after an hour on deadline. Manual poorly written. 10-position DIP switch soldered in upside down so settings were crazy. 1 was 10. 10 was 1. Up was down. Amateurs.
