The previous reviews were misleading. All you need to do is disconnect the water line and loosen 3 bolts. Everything is included. You don’t need valves, rings, or lever. It’s perfect.

I needed to replace my tank due to accidentally breaking the original one. I could not find an original replacement part at the hardware store, so I ordered one off Amazon. I like that it was a complete tank, so no additional parts were needed and it made installation easy.

After 3 years and flaper seal replacements Now this unit does not flush effectively. To get it to fully flush, I have to hold the handle down until the tank empties, or lift the arm on the tank.. We have adjusted the water level and the flusher main screw. But still the toilet doesn't flush properly. Uses a great deal more water than a standard toilet. Horrible design.American Standard don't standard with there products so I'm done with them.

I purchased the complete toilet with the 4270A dual flush bowel. The first year I was never more satisfied with this unit . I will not tell the entire story about this unit but will warn you not buy at any price. I am 70 years old with 30 years experience with water related equipment. I have repaired many toilets with great success until I met this bad boy . I will say that it is over engineered and will fail to work properly with a small amount of wear on the internals. Finding a repair kit is difficult even if I wanted one . I have long been a fan of American Standard products , but they probably want to forget this dual flush system ……….. I know I do !! I did not contact A.S because I am sure this will only prolong my misery . I just purchased a different toilet from a different company and hope for a toilet that will last longer than a year !
