We have had this for a year. The quality is nice. The flames in the fireplace look almost real. The heat source is good, although it doesn't cover a lot of square footage. I knew that when I ordered it. Very rich looking quality to this piece of furniture. Would buy this again if I had to.

The original arrived with a broken part. I called, they sent a replacement right away. The tube was fine, but that replacement was broken as well. Another call, another replacement sent, and it was fine. My husband said the directions were easy to follow. But, towards the end of putting it together, he noticed the top was scratched. Another call, a replacement was sent. All these replacements arrived within a couple of days. It is finally together and looks perfect under the TV hanging on the wall.

I have never been able to use the fireplace. It only ever has shown a error code. I've used this tv stand for 1 year and I have been unable to ever use the heating feature. Customer support says my warranty is invalid because a tv is plugged into the same outlet, even though I only use the heater when the tv is off. Extremely disappointed I bought it for the heating feature. Customer support was very unhelpful at the actual website. I don't recommend this product. Amazon was good and refunded me partially due to large scratches on the top of the tv stand, but Ameriwood was terrible Customer service. I did every kind of trouble shooting nothing would make the fireplace work. Just did not work from the start.

There are mixed reviews which caused me to hesitate on this purchase. However this is a beautiful tv stand and fireplace. It took hours to assemble, follow directions carefully. The directions are precise, clear and easy to follow. There were a couple of times you need 2 people. I put my 65 inch tv on and it fits great. Stand is very sturdy, the glass doors are a nice touch I have flameless candles on shelves! Even though there is pressboard I think you’ll be impressed with how it looks.

The pros:This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It really stands out as an accent piece in my room.It is sturdy! I have a large tv and several gaming consoles on top have had no issues at all.The adjustable flame brightness is useful for any occasion.The thermostat and timer work perfectly to keep my room warm and cozy.The digital display clearly displays brightness and temperature settings.The cons:Wow this thing is difficult to assemble. The instructions are unclear and the steps are lengthy. It took two people a full afternoon to assemble. My tip...assemble the doors separately. The instructions are not helpful and taking them apart to reassemble is difficult.It arrived scratched and dented. Not too noticeably, but more than I'd want from a "new" product.The patterns for the fireplace are very short. Just a fifteen second repeating loop. No random or realistic effect at all. Still bright and beautiful, it just bothers me.For the price it is a good piece of furniture. I'd give it four stars if it didn't arrived sratched.

My husband put it together and it took a few hours a day for a couple of days. He did reinforce all the holes with a good glue. The hardest part I believe is that the door hinges need to be adjusted to half to get them to line up correctly. He didn't turn them 180 degrees or the doors would not have been flush like one review suggested. He just moved them in some. It turned out great. We love the Espresso color and the stone feature around the fire insert. It has kept us warm and love the cozy look. We went to a retail discount store today that sells all items and we saw one there for nearly double the price and not any fancier. In fact, I like ours better. If you are not an experienced wood worker you may need to get a friend to help. Luckily, my husband is and he reads instructions very thouroughly before starting and makes sure all the part etc...are in order. You won't be disappointed if you do this.

I almost did not buy this based on the fairly negative tone of a lot of the reviews. But I am glad I did. A lot of others reported damage to their product, I really didn't have any. I had one piece that was cracked, but after installing it, I am not worried about it, it is solid. Some of that I think you have to expect. It does come with a boat load of parts and pieces and it did take me about 4 hours to put it together. All pieces and hardware were there and I wasn't short anything. I found the instructions to be pretty clear and detailed. You just need a little time and patience. I did put wood glue in all of the dowel inserts, it didn't call for it, but I figured it couldn't hurt and would increase structural integrity. The fireplace insert looks nice, I was really pleased with it, and it heats up my room very well (it is a closed off 12 foot by roughly 20 foot room). The remote works fine, and yeah, it is a fake fire, but I think it looks pretty good in my opinion. I agree with the one reviewer who said to leave the door hinges off till last, I had put the the two small blocks that the door hinges attach to on backwards, and had to take off and reverse. Pay close attention to which way they go. Doors did not close all the way initially but after playing with the adjustments on the hinges, they work fine. For what I spent, I think I got decent value, so my experience was good. Very pleased with it.

This unit is absolutely beautiful! The colours blend magnificatenly together, and the fireplace is a fine touch. This took 2 people roughly 2 hours to build. The instructions were easy to follow and though it appeared a bit intimidating at first, it was super simple to put together. My only complaint is that the back two boards for the cupboards is not secured by a screw, which leaves it open to being damaged during the construction process.If you’re looking for a great TV stand that your friends and family will be jealous of, this is it!
