These get used for my chickens all the time. I keep adding more and more to my yard to increase the shaded areas for my chickens in the summer as well as provide a less suitable yard for raptors to swoop down and carry off a chicken. As for other predators, electric wires work great. This sun shade is meant to be directly attached to the top of a structure or the sides of a structure as it is not reinforced enough to be fully suspended from just the corners. I have attached it suspended to the side of my chicken coop to protect it from direct sun which significantly reduces just how hot it gets in there during the summer.

This is advertised to block out the sun for a dog kennel or chicken coop -- these are also really great to create shade for pop up tents!If you have kids that play sports or do beach/park picnics, then you know that pop up tents are a must. They help make the event more enjoyable when you're sheltered from the sun and/or rain. This shade cloth brings it to the next level by offering side protection. It blocks out the sun, but still allows air to pass through. The cloth has grommets installed, and is easy to attach with the included zip ties. Or if you have half a dozen ball bungees, that's even better for a reusable option.

Our daughter recently moved to a new apartment. Her balcony overlooks the parking lot, so she wanted to hang something to provide a little privacy while she sits outside. We had already gotten her a different shade from a different manufacturer that worked excellently for the front of her balcony. She liked that one so well that she asked for one for the end of her balcony. Unfortunately, the company that made the one she liked didn't offer a shade that would fit the end of her balcony, so we ordered this one from Amgo.It looked just like the one she had and the description seemed to be of an identical product, so I ordered it. After it arrived, we quickly noticed the difference between the two products. This screen from Amgo is made from thinner material and that impacts the way the screen hangs. There is not enough weight to get the wrinkles out of the screen, so we have tied something to the bottom to get it to hang flat. It also means that the privacy provided by this Amgo screen is not as robust since the material is lighter in weight and color. Had we not used the other screen previously, she probably would have been totally happy with this one. But when judged against the similar item she is using, it is not quite as good.

This is a very sturdy 90% Shade cloth. I am using this over my mushroom logs and tried a 60% and it let more light in than I wanted. The cloth is nicely hemmed, and the grommets look good. Let me take you through the pictures:One shows my hand through the cloth. You can *barely* see it, but it's there. I show another picture with my hand and that is the 60% - you can clearly see my hand.This product also includes a 40 pack of 7" zip ties which is nice. I would say those are the right size for fastening this cloth.This is a 5 Star product for my application. It is going to last which I want and it blocks the sun the way I need it to.Privacy Info (I have this separate because the product was not advertised for privacy)Some folks will want this for both shade and privacy. Some of these products are labeled as both "shade" and "privacy". For the privacy folks, I hung it up over the curtain rod in my bedroom. That is shown in one of the pictures. I don't need privacy in my application, but if you do here are some things I learned.1. Privacy is relative. If you want complete privacy, you need a solid. A 90% mesh gives a fair amount of privacy.2. Privacy is relative to distance. In the picture you can fairly clearly see the trees in the backyard. But, if you move closer to the cloth, you can see less and less.3. Privacy is relative to light. Again in the picture, the yard is really bright. I left the cloth up and as it was just starting to get dark, I could see almost nothing when I looked through the cloth.I hope these privacy tips will be helpful.
