Luckily I bought this to send to my daughter so I had no intentions of getting it back… because it’s really a few uses type of thing. Real thin. I mean, it’s worth the money. You get what you pay for. It served it’s purpose for me.

Product is fine for a 9" cake that has no icing.Once icing is on the cake, the lid presses the icing off when putting it on.

It's a smaller cake carrier than standard cake size. I will use this for snacks or smaller size cakes. Handles look thin.

It is cute, and it seems functional, but I would be hesitant to use it. The item reminds me of the things you can purchase for a dollar at a discount store. The handles on the top fold flat into the cover but are a bit on the thin side. If the cake is heavy, I would be concerned the handles might snap. The locking pieces on the side of the bottom hold firmly to the cover, but there is nothing holding the locking pieces onto the base except for two prongs on the sides of them. I had to snap them into the bottom myself. The photo shows the bottom of the base and how the locking pieces snap in. If they are not firmly set, the lock may give way, dropping the creation you spent time making. The marketing materials state it will fit a 10-inch cake. That is not accurate. See the photo with the 10-inch cake base next to the carrier base. It barely fits a 9-inch cake. The photos show the bottom of a 9-inch cake pan with the item, both with the cover on and off. The cover is slightly narrower than the base, which might cause you to lose some frosting or decoration when putting the cover on. If I were to use this, it would be with an 8-inch double-layer cake with a thin layer of filling in between and some decoration on the top. If you like to have a thick layer of filling or lots of decoration, the cake might not fit. The cover might not be tall enough. I don’t bake cakes often, but when I do, they are special. I’m not confident in trusting the safety of my cakes to this item.

Keeps things fresh. Well made plastic. A little small, but we will make due.
