The reason I say that they are decent street standard is because they are putting them and most of the newer fender amps being sold. They are not vintage NOS and super high quality , however, I have had some of these tubes for about a year and they’re still working fine ,and I’m not sure that always makes a difference to nos but with my prime membership I could put the order in and get them the next day and I didn’t have to go out when it was 20 below zero.

Tube seems to work fine. I blew one of a four matched JJ set I bought from another seller. That seller had hand wrote the spec of each tube on the box so as to get a matched set. This seller didn't, though I was hoping he would so I could compare things. No big deal, I've ran with mix matched tubes before and it worked out. Minor disappointment.Edit, this was for a Carvin Nomad 1x12 amp. Great little amp.

El-84 arrived early. Packed good enough to be air-dropped.Bass-Breaker 07 sounds awesome, No more pops and rattles - just beautiful tone.I'll let it break in but I expect no issues. Salute!

I replaced the cheap-o tubes that came in my VOX AC4 with these JJ's. They sound great. Not much more to be said about that. If they work for you and sound great, then what else is there? Some reviews have mentioned that they have a bright sound. The change I noticed when I switched them out is that my amp sounded FULLER and more DYNAMIC (to touch). These are great tubes and a great value.

tubes come out of the same two or three places anymore...there is a definate consistancey issue and a few places where the seller (JJ Tubes) can specify specs to make their particular tube stand out. JJ seems to have a smoother sound than most. I've recently replaced the tubes in a little VOXAC4 mini and two Epiphone Valve Jr's that came with Sovtek EL84's and 12AX7's and am really impressed with the discernable difference in tone. There was a real payoff in this small change, the pre-amp tubes made the rest of the difference. You don't need to spend big money for tubes...these JJ's work really great.

Retubed a Bugera V5 5W amp. Replaced the Bugera Specials stock tubes with a Mesa 12AX7 and JJ EL84. Tone improved, richer, more gain and sustain. This Amp is a good all around low power tube amp. With a MI Audio Crunch Box Distortion pedal, metal tone is achieved.Parts Express shipping needs to review their methods for components as such. The tube was shipped in its original manufacture packaging box and contained in a Flat mailing envelope. The tube box was not bubble wrapped or secured against g-force stock. The JJ EL84 tube's pins were malformed, and I had to used the original Bugera EL84 as a end-to-end template to straighten and align the pins in order for the JJ tube to insert into the V5 socket.

I ordered 2 EL84s for my Mesa/Boogie combo and they were shipped quickly and securely. I also saved a nice bit of money through Amazon/Part-Express. Tone-wise, they're new JJ tubes, I'm not going to get into their sound, if you're looking for durable, toneful tubes, you can't go wrong. One thing to note is that the glass nubbin on the top of tube is slightly longer than other 84s, so if you have a clamping tube system that comes into direct contact with the tip of the tube, it may be a bit more snug than you're comfortable with, but that shouldn't be an issue for most people.
