Ordered this because the shots we've been pulling from our Breville machine have been lackluster lately and I wanted to confirm if it was the coffee itself or the machine.This machine is simple to use (once you review the manual) and I actually really like the milk setup. Being able to fill the milk basin and store it in the fridge is a welcome change to having to pour only what I'm using for one drink. The texture of the milk is actually very foamy as well, which I prefer.However, even with freshly ground beans and trying multiple times to give it a fair shake, it ultimately didn't pull shots as well as our more expensive machine and hence it won't see regular use. If you are on a budget this remains a good way to get your espresso fix but if you want barista quality you'll need to spend more.

I’m not sure if this review will be attached to the correct Amazon listing. When I placed the order, the listing stated “Coffee Tamper Espresso Press with Wooden Handle Flat 304 Satinless Steel Base, 51mm Calibrated Coffee Tamper for Espresso Machine Accessory-5” When I received the tamper, I was dismayed that it actually was 53mm, too large for my espresso machine. I checked the listing to see if I perhaps ordered the wrong one, and the listing then stated it was 53mm. Didn’t get around to writing a review for a while, and when I look at that listing now it shows an espresso machine.So, this is a review of this tamper. It is very well made, heavy and was only $4.99 at the time I ordered it. The wooden handle was nicely formed, comfortable to hold and use. I don’t recall if the species of wood was specified, but it looks like it could be rosewood. The stainless steel portion is nicely machined with no sharp edges. It is exactly 53mm in diameter. The wooden handle screws into the base and can be unscrewed.This is a great 53mm tamper for an attractive price.

Cutting to the chase: Recommended!Easy to use and makes great espressos, lattes and cappuccinos.The TDLR (Too long, didn’t read) versionThis espresso machine is a great choice for quality espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos. The machine seems to be made well, and works fine. The milk frother is a little cumbersome to clean out, but does work very well.
