[Features] With an adjustable block placed against the tailblock, providing leverage to flatten the soundboard. This is untrue as the threads stripped out too easily before adequate pressure could be applied to level out the bridge some. I replaced the screw down through the bridge as the tiny hex head stripped out. I bought an 1-1/2" long threaded insert that had enough threads to not strip out the wooden hole and get some pressure on the dowel rod. I put a small nail in the end of the dowel rod so it wouldn't walk off the end block when tightened. A real PITA.

Better than the JlD bridge doctor. Seems to work well after installation. Will need to see if it holds up after a month or two.

Will change tone slightly but sometimes that's a good thing. A good trade off for a diving bridge , this is about the only answer other than major work.

Garbage, the block has a screw that tightens it up however the screw goes into cheap low grade wood and will strip out immediately. Tried using a real Bridge doctor chassis and when tightening the cheap brass pin securing it broke. Looks like a Bridge doctor but the screw hole does not have a sleve for thwe adjustment screw and just strips out. Cheap metal pins break. Pins sit high and even lowering the bridge tip high pins cause a huge decrease in break angle. Spend the extra bucks for a bridge doctor. Master luthier with 30 yrs experience thought I would try this. Complete junk.

Not only does it get rid of the bellying and allow you to fix intonation and action to where it was when the guitar was new, it also increase vibrational transconductance, so you get a better sounding guitar. I use these in all my acoustic guitars, Yamaha C40 and FG421, Takamine EG463SC, Martin D28, 1947 Harmony and my cheapie Squire and Moukey. It even makes the cheapies sound good!

First off, let me say this installation isn't for anyone lacks basic mechanical skills. It requires drilling a small hole through the bridge for the mounting screw. It's not terribly difficult to install but will require some time and patience to get just right.I had an issue where the wooden dowel would "walk" as it was tightened and end up off to the side and not doing anything. I found an easy fix and now its awesome and solved my string height issue on my 40 year old Sigma acoustic.

I was hopeful even after reading the reviews that I can make this work for what I wanted to use it for. I will say that the bridge doctor itself is one piece and not to as stated in other reviews, but the whole for the dowel is offset just enough to cause me a headache. The brass bridge pins which I thought were an amazing idea all had holes that were offset which would cause the strings to thread not center. There's just enough quality control issues with us for me to avoid using it altogether. I've been working on guitars for 15 years and have installed several authentic bridge doctors, that all being said I thought I had enough experience to just make this one work but it's just not worth it. I'll spend the extra $12 to get a real one that includes an inlay to cover up the screw you're drilling into your bridge. Just disappointed.
