I've had this dish for years. The lid makes it the perfect pan to bake in (brownies, cake, cornbread, etc.) and then cover and take to a pot luck, a party, etc. I use it often to bake a casserole and then cover and refrigerate the leftovers for the next day. It's a perfect size, does a great job of baking, is easy to clean (dishwasher safe) and the lid makes it the most convenient pan I own.

Ordered one, noticed spalling and distortion on bottom from manufacturing. This makes it unsafe to use. Far more likely to shatter under normal use. Send back for replacement. Replacement had the same. Returned both. Bought something else.

Cannot buy the lid replacement when needed. I have this dish for many years and recently the lid has thorn. it is so disappointing to see that Anchor does not sell the same lid separately and I have to buy the whole thing again. I am sure they have a sustainability department and selling lids as a replacement sounds like a great sustainability initiative - better than gloving their team a training. Just saying.

I made some brownies tonight. Baked at 325 for the recommended time and pulled these out to cool. About 15 minutes after I pulled these out, I heard something break. As you can see, my stove top is not on or hot to have caused this. This is my first bakeware purchase off Amazon and clearly not the place to buy it. I'm pregnant and have been craving brownies, so this is especially devastating. I believe I got 3 uses out of this before it exploded.

I use this type of glass baking dish quite often it is a thicker glass I really like that. I love that the lid fits very well easy to clean holds its shape and fits on tight for storing uneaten portions of the cake, cornbread, brownies, cobbler, casserole, mac n cheese, etc. I have two of these anchor square cake dishes. I normally wash it by hand dry and put away. My husband put it in the dishwasher top rack and it held up its shape and color looks great fits great.
