The expandable sewing gauge and the chisel cutter were VERY cheaply made. When I fully extended the gauge, it didn't easily collapse. Also, the blade of the chisel is rough. It's not nice and smooth like a knife edge. They do work, and I like having the hammer that was part of the set. I won't send it back but I hate crappy tools.

I don't make a lot of button holes, but when i do and trying to open the hole with a seam ripper is like a crap shoot. Might get lucky and not cut through the side or end.This makes it much more precise and foolproof.Nice tools except for the snips which are junk...flimsy piece of S&*%. Just throw them away. Everything else is good though.

I have been making button holes for decades and this makes the job a lot easier. The cutter is sharp and makes much cleaner cut than scissors.

I purchased this set for the button hole cutter and the snippets. However I like using the spacer to accurately place my button holes. These tools are well made and quite sturdy for the price.
