So glad I got this! I'm not a sandwich person. I love a warm lunch, and this lunchbox delivers. Food is completely heated within 15 minutes tops. Easy to clean, easy to use, and works great.

This works really well to keep food warm and actually hot. The plastic is kind of weak but it works great.

Overall, this is a really nice lunch WARMER, not cooker. There are two plug in options - an electrical outlet or the car/truck electrical port, making it quite versatile. The stainless steel container can be removed for easier clean up and the insulated bag keeps your meal warm until you are ready to use the heater to warm it up further. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to warm your food from a wall outlet and 20 to 0 minutes from the car/truck outlet. For less than $25, this is great for having warm meals at the office or on the job site - it is easy to use and the size is enough for a decent sized meal.

If you've never really thought much about an electric lunchbox it can sound exactly like what you need or so I thought. I considered buffet style lunches at work that are just barely warm when set out. I thought about lunch in the park when the food is cooling before I get there. To be able to warm food quickly in these situations would be nice. I thought taking food to work to warm and eat it would be a breeze. Wrong! This lunchbox will work well in some situations and only for a few people. If you have a lot of control over your work life are you have a set routine that is followed it may work for you. If you're taking phone calls, you work in several different areas, your lunch time changes daily ect. This lunch box may not work for you. First, it is not mentioned where your lunch is stored. Foods not eaten immediately require refrigeration. Is it okay to place the lunchbox in the fridge? If so, should it be in the insulated cover? Perhaps, you should remove the stainless steel food container and just place that in the fridge, though they did not provide a cover making that easily possible. So you grab your lunchbox with hopefully still safe food and plug it in. The PTC heating device does allow the food to heat up fairly quickly. It also allows the food to cool more rapidly than normal. The food and container will be cold within about 5 or 6 minutes. Can you eat with it plugged in? Or should you? If you plug it in in one area and walk to another area to eat, your food will already be cooling off. It is nice to know if the brand has had success with this type of device but as far as I can find out the brand Annie & Mia Designs exist only on paper. It is stated as a USA brand but I can't readily find it. While that name is on the lunchbox it is not on their literature. In one lone area there is an email address to support @annieandmiadesign.com on the external box. The Brand location is listed as California. The lunchbox exterior is that hard shiny plastic not generally associated with high quality, mine arrived with several scratches not awful but worrisome. The plug for 12 volt or 110 is not separate but combined you need to pay close attention. The AC plug is not easy to insert and there is no on or off button or switch. The light that shows that the power is on is not obvious. I had to lower my head and look into the white circle to see the orange glow. I gave 3 stars because it looks nice and does heat food and can work in some situations just not the way I thought.
